Anything in particular I should know about the installation? Is it straight-forward and obvious?

Bike is 2014 Standard with ABS (Canada model).

If you are performing maintenance on your CB and wouldn't mind, we could always use more tutes with pictures for the How To Section.

For example:

Changing spark plugs.

Adjusting the drive chain

Replacing brake pads, front and or rear

Bleeding brakes on a 13 non ABS model or 14 ABS model

Replacing a fuse

Or installing various popular accessories like:

Case savers/ engine guards

Mounting up a Road Comet Fairing

Installing a luggage rack

Mounting up a Dart Flyscreen

Installing RLETs lol

Tute with pictures help inexperienced members do their own work more confidently, and become familiar with their bikes.

Don't worry if there is already a tute on the subject, your pictures may be from a different angle, or your description of the process, or the way you do it, may be a little different than one already posted which may just make it click for someone that might be confused about a step in the process.

If there is something you as a member would like to see in the How To section, post it up and maybe someone would be willing to cover it next time they are working on their bike.

Hello from Australia, folks!

I recently bought a CB1100 2010 year model (known as 2013 in America) with 7,000km on the clock. I’ve gone through 4 tanks and noticed my fuel consumption is nowhere as good what owners have been getting on this forum.

I average about 140km and the bar starts to flash. Tyres are right pressure and I ride quite conservatively around city traffic. Filled up with 98 octane also. I’m not sure what could be wrong? Surely it cannot be this bad. Any suggestions?

Someone mentioned there is a red plug inside the headlight bucket which is "hot" with the switch on. does it also have a ground wire moulded into the plug as well? I'm thinking I might have to use that plug to install a plug for a radar detector. If no ground connection in the plug, where would I attach the ground wire?

What are some (uncommon) maintenance tips that not many people know about?

Please share your tips for keeping the cb1100 running smoothly to cleanings tips.

Hi guys, I read some of you applied some type of thermal paste when installing the arrow. I'm hesitant to do that as in my past experience it was really difficult to remove the slip on later on if I decided to change it. Can I use locktite (bue)?

Hey guys!

I'm a proud new owner of a 2014 CB1100 (bought it about a month ago). What a great bike. I traded in my Yamaha Bolt XV950 (great bike btw, if you're into the vtwin air-cooled sportster style). The build quality of the CB1100 is amazing, I am loving this bike so much. It feels like a precise swiss watch when I ride it, all the mechanical parts just feel right in place and clicks right in (if that makes any sense). The CB is my new daily.

My other bike is a Aprilia Tuono V4, a total beast but actually very easy to ride.

Anyway, for those that don't like the stock mirrors, I actually went with the Yamaha Bolt mirrors and it fits perfect. I had to use 2 left hand Yamaha mirrors because the right hand mirror for the Yamaha is actually slightly shorter for some strange reason and the right side Yamaha is also reverse thread, so using 2 lefts is the way to go. Just a suggestion for those that are looking for aftermarket mirrors. I didn't mind the stock mirrors but I like the Yamaha mirrors better, plus I was already very familiar with them from my old bike. Anyway, I have some parts already on the way and can't wait to install them (arrow slip and chick design rear fender).
