Does anyone with a service manual know what the recommended torque values are for items #18 and #19 on the following page?

I have 885 miles on my 2014 CB1100 and I notice that my fuel trip computer isn't recording information any more. Still have total and trip miles, but no fuel mileage or gallons used. I really like this feature with having the smaller tank. Has any one else had this problem? Still under warranty a course and I will be taking it in, but this dealership has only seen one CB1100, (mine). I'll give an update when it has been corrected.

Weatherman says these are the dog days. Hot and humid with a chance of afternoon pop up showers every day. Hot and humid for this area means highs near 90 and humidity between 65% and 80%. It can get pretty oppressive mid day. Pop up showers means you can be riding along in the sunshine, get poured on for 5 miles, ride back into the sunshine and get poured on again for 5 more miles just up the road. Really hit and miss. Good thing we only get these conditions a couple weeks a year.

Lows in the mid 60's last night meant fog this morning in the valley where I live. Figured I'd ride early and avoid the midday heat and humidity and the showers if possible. Always liked the look of the fog rising over the river so the plan was to head east out to one of my favorite little sitting spots, drink some tea, watch the fog burn off the river by 10 AM, head east some more to one of the more rural counties head up into the hills and then swing back around toward home and be home around noon. Then hibernate in the air conditioning until after dinner when it will be cool enough for another ride.

Those are not fluffy white clouds behind the bike, but fog in the low lying areas across the river

Thought this was a cool pic, the sun reflecting off my shield (as well as me and the mirrors of the bike). That blazing sun is heating the day up and burning off the fog

Looking east upriver I liked the reflection on the water of the hills of Kentucky on the right southern side of the river, with the town of Ripley, Ohio on the left northern side of the river and how the river disappears in the distance in the fog

a little while later you can see in the mirror, the fog is gone, it's clear and bright and the day is really starting to heat up

One more stop along the river before swinging north, then west back to home. The little town of Manchester Ohio, boyhood home of car racing legend Jack Roush. I don't follow car racing but a friend who does tells me this guy is a pretty big deal in car racing circles. Greatness comes from within and not from the town you are born in it seems.

Hey I am in the market for a new Helmet. I currently have a Shoei Qwest, It seems heavy. Anyone recommend something lighter in a full face? My neck is always sore :/

Well, after seeing one of these about a month and a half ago, and pretty much studying them ever since, I found my new red 2013, 180 miles away in Slc. Utah, for under 7500.00$, although I didn't have the option to test drive it first, I read so much good stuff, and seen so many people with smiles and laughter on youtube, that I took the plunge!

When people describe the bikes power as "smooth", and "predictable", they couldn't describe it any better in any other way! So far I'm really loving the bike, and don't regret my decision in the least.

About 25% down the page , there are a couple of pics of a CB1100 with a golden fairing, side covers and tank with black stripe. Does anyone have any info on the owner or company that built this bike? I'd like the color code and graphic for the tank stripe.

What brand of seat is on the bike?

Will a standard 1100 tank fit with a deluxe model tank? Will any of the sending unit components need to be changed to mate a deluxe model fuel indicator to work properly with the standard tank?

Anyone here have side covers, a standard tank and that seat pictured for sale? And a WhiteHouse front fender with the struts.

Hey guys, I would like a cruise control similar to Throttle Meister, but I have been unable to find anything like it. Does one of the other Throttle Meister models work for the CB1100 or what cruise control mechanism are you guys using for you CB1100?
