Can anyone attest to horsepower improvement on any after market cb1100 exhaust?? Or, do they just make noise.

Has anyone used a motorcycle transport or shipping service to move a motorcycle within the U.S.? Recommendations of movers to use or avoid?

Looking at planning some trips and it would be nice to have my CB with me, but I don't have time to ride across the country. Also, I always wonder about this when I daydream of buying a bike from another state.

Fast Company Motorcycles in Breslau, Ontario seems to have closed its doors for good! They were well-known as experts in racing and vintage motorcycle repair and restoration. They had the cleanest and best equipped motorcycle repair facility that I had ever seen.

I drove by on my CB this weekend and found the place to be empty. My sources tell me that the owner, Scott Miller sold his dyno and closed the place over a month ago. Nearby bridge and road construction restricted access to his shop for the better part of last year and may have contributed to a loss in business. I don't yet know if Scott or any of his associates will be able to reopen in some other capacity to service bikes.

I'm sure that I will not be the only forum member/CB owner disappointed about this news.

Can you just get the rev/speed limiter removed? I don't want my motor "reprogrammed" I'm happy with the way it runs....bike is sooooo smooth up to 100mph I want to stretch it's legs on some long lonely highway...112mph does not do the bike justice IMO....

I went to an abandoned brick factory at dusk to snap a few pictures after my first oil change. I am loving this bike.

Manual for my 2014 says something about a document bag located in the underside of seat and a rubber strap for tool bag. Neither of which came with my bike. Did any of you get that? Also, my tool kit only has an allen key and Phillips driver. Am I missing something here? I asked the sales person who sold me the bike but he didn’t seem to know anything about it. Let me know...thx

Sorry for another windscreen thread but I read almost all threads regarding windscreens and I am having no luck getting them installed with good clearance.

I tried this one first:

But had to return it because it was touching the instruments (it probably works fine with the 2013 model).

Then I tried this one thinking it would work great because it is model specific:

Same thing, it touches the instruments even worse than 0869 model.

I looked into Dart Flyscreen website and they only show pictures of the CB 2013, so I don't want to try it and then have to return another one.

I want a windscreen that is small and that will have a good clearance to the instruments. If anyone could help me suggesting a windscreen (with pictures), I would appreciate.

As a side note, I don't want it installed outside the headlight bracket.

I will ride close to a 1,000 miles on May 30th (CB Rally in AR) and if I don't have any windscreen on my CB, it will be somewhat exhausting.

So it seems the bikes get a lot of accessories and there are a lot to choose from. What I haven't seen is how to accessorize the shop manual (and with the mass volume of threads and comments, I may have missed it). I see many people complain of how the manual won't lay open to a select page. Some put it in a three-ring binder to go along with the pre-punched holes in order to protect it. I started this farkle years ago with some of my other shop and technical manuals. This can be done for about $10 at Staples or OfficeMax or some store of that sort.

I had my shop manual cut off at the spine to the point where the three-hole punch portion was removed. I had the front and back covers laminated with the store's thickest option (they had three to choose from). The next step was to spiral-punch the manual. The last step is to choose the color of the plastic coated spiral wire binding you would like. Unfortunately, due to the size of this manual, they only had black available. Sometimes you can get them in navy blue or red or green. I was looking to get red but it was not available. The result is a manual that will lay flat at any page and can be folded back on itself for a single page to show. What's great about the laminated covers is that they are durable and can easily be wiped clean of any greasy fingerprints.

The downside is for forum users like Nortoon who removed the spine from his manual and placed the loose pages in a 3-ring binder. This allows him to insert additional pages as needed between select manual pages that may offer tricks of the trade learned from other forum members. My spiral-bound version does not offer that option.

The paper towels seen in the pictures were to cover the pages for copyright purposes but still show a portion of the text, photographs and images that bump up against the spiral-bound side of the manual.
