Have wanted to test ride one of these for a couple of years. Today I got the opportunity.

Rode out of town this last weekend and had a tire installed at a Suzuki/Kawasaki dealer, prearranged, preordered tire. That's another story but I did get several home cooked meals.
The technician removed the wheel installed the new tire and remounted the wheel. That was followed by a test ride, a long test ride. When he finally came back his comments were "Wow, great bike. Beautiful linear power, sweet handling and good looking too." He had never seen one but wants one now.
Now ready for springtime wine run.

I was trying to investigate an annoying sound which I thought was from the starter engage gear on the left side of the engine. So I remove the cover by undoing the six 5/16" head bolt that holds the cover to the engine. I wasn't expecting oil in there but alas as soon as the cover was completely removed the oil started pouring.

Is it normal to have oil in there or is there something wrong with the engine? The motor runs tops though.

Thanks a lot in advance for any info regarding this.

Anyone know if a 2017 tank would be a bolt-on fit for a 2014 standard?

This show is in Hendersonville, NC every year at the Southern Appalachian Brewery. I didn't get many pics, but here are a few of the bikes. There were so many more that I didn't get. My day was cut short by a dead battery. One of the attendees was nice enough to push so I could get the bike started. I rode to one honda shop that was closed, and called another place that was out of stock. I couldn't gey a battery until today, but at least I made it home.

Hey guys. My battery finally kicked the bucket yesterday while I was at the Meltdown vintage bike show in Hendersonville, NC. Thankfully, one of the other guys there gave me a push so I could bump start the bike. I replaced the battery today and found this attached to the old battery. What is it? I suspect it's for a battery tender or heated gear, but I own neither. Thanks for the help.

On today's ride after thinking about Stichill's buddy Jim and my buddy John, I got to thinking about the recent suspension threads here on the forum. I paid close attention to my suspension... how compliant it was, how it handled irregularities in the road, how it handled the curves and I thought "wow, this suspension feels really, really good to me". The ride was cushy, small lines in the road were not felt, held my line thru the curves without wallowing or running wide. Just like it was on rails. Smooth rails. I am really pleased with the stock suspension. I am not a new rider..as of mid May next month I will start my 53rd year of continuous street riding on 29 different street motorcycles (plus 10 years of racing motocross). I've keep good records daily since 2006, and averaged 11,500 miles a year before retiring and 25,000 a year since retiring 4 years ago. I have felt good suspensions, and I have felt bad suspensions. To me the CB's suspension is excellent, especially for cheap, stock, barely adjustable suspension.

I weigh 185 without gear, probably 195 geared up with helmet, jacket, gloves, jeans, boots. I have my suspension set on 4 rings visible in front and softest (deepest slot) in rear.

Maybe it's the roads I ride on, or the speed I ride them at. Maybe it's the compliance of the Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires. I dunno. All I know for sure is I won't be shelling out any bucks to fix something I don't think is broken (YMMV)

Belatedly posting "Jane Honda" after breaking out the wrenches and doing a 3500 mile oil change the day Robert Pirsig died. Author "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". I got her 2.5 years ago with 863 miles on the clock for a whopping $6k. Best use of a signing bonus yet!
