Took the bike out for a quick spin this past weekend due to some oddly-warm temps for a Midwest winter. I pulled over quickly to make a helmet adjustment and the kickstand did not bite enough causing the bike to fall to the left. In doing so, it scratched up a cover of the speedo/tach cluster. Not horrible so far but I also noticed that the whole cluster felt somewhat loose. Upon removing the headlight assembly and seeing the damage I found that the actual interior housing for the speedo/tach (white plastic that holds the electrical boards) has cracked and I am looking at around $600 for a replacement. The crack isn't any longer than 1-1/2 inches and I am wondering of trying either a JB weld job or bring it into work and have a guy try and plastic weld it up.

What do you all think? Would you just pitch it and pay the cash or try and repair it? I do not intend to ever sell this bike, especially to an unsuspecting person if I did not replace the part and patch it up.

Hey everyone. I searched through the threads and didn't find an answer to this:
I was looking to install a shorty slip-on pipe but would like to keep my center stand. Does anyone have a solution (other than 'remove the center stand') to keep the center stand from hitting the chain? I've looked on webike, twisted throttle, samurider, etc but haven't found a device/mod/stopper that would restrict the stand from hitting the chain.

I’ve been intouch with Samurider about purchasing a RS seat for my 2014 but was told I’d have to remove the grab bars under the seat to do so,is this correct?

Will we be obsolete? Stay at home at the couch and send out your bike for a ride.

I have my CB in pieces and on a lift. Could some kind person please let me know how level (the angle would be great) that the bottom frame rails (just below where the side stand is mounted) are when the bike is up straight with no rider?

I know it's a pain, but it would be a huge help.

I should have measured this when the bike was whole, I know....

Not sure how many members are avid video gamers as I am , or enjoy the dark souls series of games as I do , but yesterday was truly a praise the sun day.

After commuting all week in driving rain and 40's / 50's temps , Saturday morning came around with mid 40's and clear blue sky and full sun . Took her out for a long , lovely rip . Not telling anyone here anything they don't already know , but truly feel blessed to be able to throw a leg over this particular bike and enjoy days like yesterday . Best part of life !

Hi everybody
I've just bought a 2016 cb1100 with 1700 miles on it. For some reason the ABS light doesn't go out. The bike is like new and runs beautifully, can anybody tell me what I need to do or how to rectify the abs light problem.
