With the cold weather I don't ride much these days... But have time for checking and storing some pictures shot last summer, not yet taken out of the camera !

End of August, we had a beautiful day touring in the Devoluy Mountains, south of Grenoble. The Devoluy is a limestone massif, typical of the Pre-Alps, like Chartreuse and Vercors. Higher summits are about 2700 m, light grey rocks, while valleys are green, with a few forests and many sheeps or cattle farms.

Up to this day I never came to the Noyer Pass (1664 m), one of the massif exit toward east. Despite noyer means walnut tree, there is no walnut tree there... A refuge was built at the pass in 1858, one of the six "Refuges Napoleon" built in the Alps thanks to Napoleon III fundings. Now it's a restaurant, open only summer days.

While I dig Tom's outfit, I think that I'd rather have a beer with Tom's friend....

If you planned to never sell your CB1100, and planned to continue to ride it approximately 6k miles per year, every year for a long as possible (maybe 15 or 20 more years), and you do all of your own maintenance, what parts would you buy and put on a shelf in your garage for safe keeping so that you would have them when you needed them (believing that the chance of finding a part that you need to keep you bike running in 15 years is no longer available). This is a serious question (I have stock-piled parts for my 1998 VFR800). Thanks.

Hey all, some of you may know I recently acquired a used 2017EX with 1,100 miles on it for 9,000USD. That was all great and I love the bike so far, but about half the trips I take, the ABS module will stop working and the light will flash for no apparent reason. The bike is PRISTINE, the wires/sensors appear clean, everything seems to work... until it doesn't, for no apparent reason.

Unfortunately, the bike is out of warranty by like six months. Any ideas? I'm really hoping the ABS module itself doesn't need replacing because it seems like it would be expensive (without having looked into it).

Actually came across this on the MGNOC f/b page and thought I'd share a laugh!!

I want to remove the grab rails which obviously means removing the indicators also but can't find any obvious signs of electrical connectors anywhere.


Bike is 2015 CB1100, any clues please?

The TPS alarm in my car suddenly went off today while traveling down the freeway. My left rear tire was down to 20 psi. I quickly exited the roadway and found a tire shop about a block past the off-ramp. I assumed the tire was punctured but the failure was instead due to a leaking valve stem / TPS sensor. I'd never heard of this. I was more than happy to pay the $25 repair bill and was back on the road within 20 minutes. Sounds like this isn't terribly uncommon, but I attribute it to today's frigid 6 degree F temps.
