Not the first time I've noticed condensation dripping from exhaust pipes.

Seemed odd though the last time I started my bike I noticed a fair amount of dripping from the right exhaust where the header connects to the muffler.
It was in the 40's temperature wise.
None on the left side.

Bike was on its side stand.

Runs fine no issues.

nothing? move along?

I am looking to swap my front suspension for a modern sport bike USD set up. Is there a bolt on application?

I have to say that when I obsess on a vehicle I tend to notice them everywhere. Is it possible that my CB1100 is the only one running around Los Angeles? Have yet to see another one on the road. So odd.

Hey guys , wanted to add a little more style to the boring looking pegs so I got these . I like the way they match the black/red colors I have going on my bike . I do lose the rubber though from the stock pegs so I’ll see how the comfort of them will be . Ah well thought I’d share

Has anybody take the top off one of these Showa dual bending valve forks?

Being a somewhat short person (27" inseam), I can just get my toes down.

The rear shocks (with the piggyback can) are 360mm and I have acquired some 315mm replacements, which should give me maybe 1.5" lower seat height.

But, I would also need to reduce the front forks by the same. As the front and rear suspension is about the same angle/rake, I would guess I need to reduce the preload on the front forks by much the same.

Lifting the handlbar away looks easy enough from the workshop manual. Off with the covering caps and undo the four top bolts and lift it away.

The only technical drawing I can find of this make and type of shock is off a Harley.

It looks like it has a preload tube at the top, so replacing that with a shorter one should do it, but how much shorter? My guess is, maybe only an inch shorter.

I just wondered if anybody else has been inside the shock before I give this a go. Winter is starting to bite where I am, so I'm not often out on the bike anyway.

Hi all.

Here is one of my girls. A 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000C3 Police.
The old lady starts to burn oil and loosing compression. So I brought
here to the shop and the engine redo starts... .
The problem with government owned vehicles is not the service that they
did on the engines but all emergency vehicles (Police, Fire Department,
Ambulance) have high idle hours due to idling while on scene with all
emergency lights on.
This will cause especially a temperature problem for the air cooled engines
and so the engines have more idling hours than any civilian car or bike.

This is the first winter in ages that I haven't put the bikes to sleep in November. This probably sounds silly, but I'm finding riding with eyeglasses a real pain in the winter. My glasses (not my visor) fog as soon as I slow to a stop. Anybody solve this problem? It even happens with the visor open at a stop (unless I hold my breath...which isn't a super duper idea...)
