In Free Practice 2 today, he destroyed the old lap record at Qatar by almost 1/2 a second

when not out riding my CB 1100

I get to see this in the front yard out my front window. Took this pic 10 mins ago. Counted 45 turkeys and 5 deer.

I used to spend days/weeks/seasons in the woods and walk endless miles to find/hunt deer and turkey. Now I watch them all day long from the comfort of my living room lol

Is there something that happens around the 4,000 mark that I should know about? As I look at used (Pre owned) CB1100's I notice 13's & 14's for sale w/ 4,000mi on them. Any particular reason?
Thanks, Motorscooter

  Tank Removal...
Posted by: Bazbro_imp - 03-07-2019, 02:56 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (17)

Everyone says what a swine it is getting at and undoing the fuel pipe connectors under the tank.

I have fitted these...

...to my BMW and they're very easy to use.

Would it be possible and advantageous to fit these to the CB's fuel line, to aid tank removal in the future?

Unfortunately, I won't be catching the first glimpse of my CB1100 until next May (when I return to the UK) so I can't go and have a look and fiddle with it until then.

Any thoughts?

(Help! I can't seem to post that pic,??)

After market turn signal on CB 1100rs 2018 not working
Posted by: Saltani_imp - 03-07-2019, 01:32 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (6)

Hello everyone,
On my CB 1100rs 2018, I’ve installed “Motogadget blaze disc” turn signals that are supposed to be a plug & play job but it hasn’t worked. The lights do not go on. Can anyone tell me if the electrical signal on the 2018 is the same as in the older models? Or is it a digital signal? Or is there something I need to install something??

Need help sourcing racks for Aluminum Panniers
Posted by: Frulk_imp - 03-05-2019, 10:12 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (15)

Ok. I'm looking to put some Happy Trails aluminum panniers on the CB to match up with the top box I purchased from them last year. Kinda trying to go the mod route the Belgian couple (aka Wandering Souls) did that was going to tour South America on their Euro spec CB's. Looked around our forum but didn't have any luck. Not sure if I wasn't using the right search words or what. Just don't remember any forum members with aluminum panniers on their CB's. So I called Twisted Throttle first. They sell SW Motech and after speaking to a very customer oriented rep he found out there was a note attached to the stock number of the racks that stated they ones that fit the CB were NOT compatible with US spec bikes. So next step was mailing an e-mail to Happy Trails to see if they have any ideas on options. I like the SW Motech style of racks. They look stout. Next option may be looking at Hepco and Becker.

Feel free to provide input:

Looking to put something like this on the CB in bare aluminum finish. Depends on how much clearance I'll have with the muffler and how much off-set is required. Nice thing is I can drive to Boise once I have the racks mounted and stop by Happy Trails Factory Store and trial fit anyone of they styles until I find something that's compatible. I think they can even pre drill the mounting holes if the bike is there. Will for sure require blinkers being moved.

Tires ~ Converting tube to tubeless type.
Posted by: 17-CB-002 - 03-04-2019, 02:16 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (30)

Hello everyone,
Mine is a 2017 CB1100 with spoke wheels.

I will soon need new tires and I am debating on converting my spoke tube type wheels into a tubeless style, thus using tubeless tires.

There is a kit by "Outex" that can do the job.

As per the U-tube video attached, it looked very easy and simple.

I am inquiring about longevity, safety and whether it is possible.

Had any member tried it?

Thanks Alain

  Time for a new lid?
Posted by: Roper_imp - 03-03-2019, 08:14 AM - Forum: Riding Gear - Replies (10)

Helmets: The perpetual motorcycle forum discussion topic.

From Gear Patrol in my news feed:

"There’s a massive sale on Bell Helmets going on right now, just in time for the 2019 riding season. All styles are marked down so no matter what kind of riding you’re looking to get done, you’ll be able to save on a new lid. The vintage-styled dirt-focused MX-9 is currently 19 percent off, and you can even grab a vintage-styled Bullitt at a 42 percent markdown. But, the biggest savings are on the Bell Star line – you can look forward to saving $300 and still get a top-notch lid."

[url=https://gearpatrol.com/2019/03/02/theres-a-ridiculous-sale-on-bell-motorcycle-helmets-right-now/]Linky

I wear Shoei helmets, but I'm tempted to try out a Bell Bullitt.

Edit: Hmmm...the link at the bottom of the page goes to Revzilla. Most of the styles only have XS and XL sizes left. So, maybe not such a killer deal after all...
