  Seats global
Posted by: Danlea83_imp - 03-17-2019, 08:30 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (12)

Hi guys,

New CB1100 owner here in Australia. I’ve come across the Luimoto vintage seat cover that fits the US models 2013-16. Down here we only have the 2010-11. The seats look the same to me but they can’t tell me whether or not it will fit the Aussie model. I’m wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head if the seat is different, or if someone can help me by posting a few photos of their 2013-16 seat detached including the underside of the pan.

Much appreciated, Dan.

  Fork Brace with protector lip.
Posted by: 17-CB-002 - 03-17-2019, 03:16 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (2)

Just found this Fork Brace on ebay.

I contacted the manufacturer of this neat "Fork Brace" and is waiting for their answer.

The beauty of this design is that it has the built-in "lip" to protect the fork tubes against stone chips.

The model in the picture is for a Yamaha R3, however, I took some rough measurement of my 2017 and emailed them.

Any one interested?

  Tail Tidy and Plate Relocation
Posted by: jethrofelix_imp - 03-17-2019, 05:58 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (21)

Hi all,
I've had my '14 CB1100 for about 9 months now. The only modifications I've done are taking off the Mickey Mouse mirrors and put on a bar end.
I've tried to love the protruding fin that is the taillight, but I've come to the conclusion that it's not for me. I've googled and found some, but what are your recommended tail tidy kits for this bike?
In addition, I've toyed with the idea of relocating the plate to a rear fender mounted on the back of the swingarm - kind of like how it is on some Vitpilens (see picture).
What say ye? Thanks![Image: cfaac6418843d373ecc3d70f28bd8632.jpg]

Planning a trip to Canadian Rockies in June/July.

Going through Ontario--Manitoba--Saskatchewan--Alberta--British Columbia

Has anyone ever been?

Suggested Roads, Hotels, Sites to see?

From what I see the road choices are limited.

Well, Adam and I decided to take a ride today. He had never been to Old Sheldon Church near Beaufort. So we headed out down some back roads with names like Toogoodoo Road. There aren't many twisty, winding roads around, but we took the ones we know and found a nice winding scenic road that went to the small town of Yemasse. Named after a Indian tribe that was all but wiped out during the Yamasee War, (1715–16). We then headed down to Beaufort for lunch and to check out Ft Fremont. All in all it was a good days ride with just over 200 miles on the odometer. [Image: c8b6ef3506c2fd6f015737331df0cfa1.jpg] The train depot. Long read but absolutely fascinating report of one long distance rider's epic ride.

I randomly found this sealed bag with a key chain, pin, sticker and a patch that I got from Des Plaines Honda when I got my first new 1993 Nighthawk 750 in 1994.
I just thought it was kind of cool to run across it.
