I just put a 2014 Deluxe seat on my 2014 Standard. The seat will work on the bike but additional parts are needed to get the seat to fit right,these would be the brackets and collars. The bottom of the Standard seat is cut at an angle,the Deluxe seat is cut straight across,what this means is the grab handle for the Standard follows the bottom line of the seat,the grab handles need to be repositioned with the additional parts for the Deluxe seat.

There's a GB on the local Craigslist in original condition with 18k miles. The seller is asking $6000. For those of you who follow these bikes, does the price seem about right? My gut is telling me he's asking too much but I don't follow GB's that closely.

When we had our house build in 2005 I was not careful enough how I treated the garage floor and now there are all kinds of paint and other stains on it. (oil, brake fluid , you name it )
At first I thought to coat it with epoxy but this will take a lot of preparation and even than not always good results afterwards.
Last week I decided to order the alloy colored Race Deck plastic tiles and hope to install this in April. I checked all kinds of reviews and videos but has any Forum Member have any experience with this garage flooring ?

Beautiful new vintage inspired tank from Samurider arrived at my daughter's where I keep my SR400 in LA. Arrived in town late yesterday hoping to get it together this weekend.

I really like the SR400, but man what a pain the tank replacement has turned out to be. To be clear, the CB1100 tank replacement was no walk in the park. The "clever" fuel line disconnect on the 2018 was pretty far from clear and obvious, even with the help of the service manual. The SR400 takes the cake though. I'm a pretty persistent man, and this one won't beat me, but what is with these manufacturers who make tank replacement so difficult? In this case, it's mainly a matter of getting the right leverage to get the hoses back with so little slack and clearance.

I have to leave tomorrow on the red-eye, and will only have an hour or so with my other obligations, so I doubt I'll get it together. Maybe another month before I get another crack at it. Argh!!!

Just curious how many of you have the same memories that I do of all of the m/c ads of the 70s? I can still remember the songs and jingles from the ads. It was those commercials, Evil Knievel, and a neighbor with a Yamaha street bike that fueled my now lifelong obsession with bikes, especially UJMs. To the horror of my mother, who was scared to death of them, I purchased a 50cc Chibi minibike when I was 12 and have never looked back.

I’ve owned 3 out of 4 of the Japanese Big 4, but always come back to Honda. But, back to my main point, whatever happened to all of the cool ads? I see very few today unless I’m watching m/c racing. It seems like the insurance companies do more commercials about bikes than the m/c companies do. It just seems to me there’s a direct correlation to advertising and the popularity of motorcycling. What gives?

“Kawasaki lets the good times roll” “Yamaha, today is the day” “Forget your troubles get on Suzuki” “Good things happen on a Honda” “Follow the leader, he’s on a Honda” “When you’re on a Honda you’re really going strong” and of course “You meet the nicest people on a Honda!”

Sorry for the ramble, just feeling a little nostalgic about the golden age.

I ride the CB with an armored ICON mesh jacket that's approaching the end of its service life. The zipper is coming apart and overall the jacket has seen better days. I'm thinking of maybe going with this jacket from Cycle Gear. $199 with armor. If anybody has one and can provide feedback on the pros and cons that would be appreciated.

Can we get a rule set up so GoldOxide has a limit on the amount of posts he can make per day?

So my bike has the original exhaust on. Does the baffle come out because it sounds like a hairdryer at present!?

Also, do aftermarket slip on cans make much difference to the sound? I know a full system with the cat removed would be the best option but I'm on a budget!

I have less than 5k on the factory Dunlop’s, the rear has a typical commuter flat strip not too bad but GEEZE the front is almost toast. Scalloped and the tire is chewed on the sides leaving it taller in the middle with recessed sides. Anyone else had funky treadwear on the factory tires? Exploring options online just not a huge fan of the Battleax
