I bought Peterbaron's Chic Design hand guards and he wanted to see them mounted as he never put them on his bike. Today being a nasty day in Va. Beach, I put them on.

The windscreen and guards will come off and the Road Comet will go on when it warms up here.

After weeks and weeks of rain, standing water in the yard and so forth, the sun has been out for several days so had to get the CB out for a little ride. Where to go? Hey, I've a wine club up. Started with 47 degrees, a bit chilly but not so bad. Had a beautiful trip through the Napa Valley, Knight's Valley, Alexander Valley (had to stop at a favorite winery for their Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec) then on to Dry Creek Valley for my pick-up. Planned on coming home with 3 bottles but ended up with a case. Sigh. I just like to but wine. A friend of mine asked why I buy so much wine when I have so much already. I answered with a question: "Why do you buy so many shoes?". She understands.

Really looking forward to our trip to the west coast end of April. Would love to do it on the cb maybe some day, however this is coach trip from San Francisco, stops at Monterey .Carmel , Cannery Row, Pismo Beach , Santa Barbara, LA [Buena Park], Las Vegas.
Would like a bit of input from you guys, There is an optional excursion when in LA to Palm Springs not sure if we should do it or use the day to go to maybe, Hollywood, Malibu, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, or maybe Sunset blvd to see Whisky a gogo, [big west coast music fan] . Main point i guess ,is Palm Springs a must see? Any input greatly appreciated.

It’s time to replace the mirrors and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. The style is a small generic rectangle mirror on a short stem. Years ago these were everywhere. EMGO makes the mirror but it has the logo on the back,the mirror I had years ago didn’t have the logo and that’s what I’m lookong for. I’ll post a picture when I get a chance,anybody happen the know what size the threads are,I’m thinking 8 MM.

Guys all the time say they have a 29,30, 32,34,36 (pick one) inseam. When I was in the clothing business from 1969-1971, we measured men for suits and the "inseam" measurement was from the crotch to the ankle bone, down the inside of one leg. (Usually left leg ffor some reason unknown to me). One could have a 30 1/4" inseam for example, when measured for a suit. So to me that has always been the inseam.

Now if you go crotch to ground that would of course be longer, especially if you were wearing shoes, or wearing boots and not in stocking feet.

If you go by the size of blue jeans you wear, that could be anything as most jeans are only measured in even inch sizes (waist and length) and they don't make certain lengths for certain waists. For example I wear a 36 X 30 jeans, but only because they don't make 36 x 28 jeans. Even a 28" length jean would pile up on top of my boots some. The 30's I could roll up like a Hipster but I just let them pile up.

So how do you figure your inseam when talking on a motorcycle forum?

How do you ride your CB? Are you a fast canyon carver; a wannabe race rider; a touring rider; an aggressive commuting rider; a rider who hurtles along freeways; or a rider who motors sedately on country roads smelling the roses and bovine faecal matter?

I ride mine to tour, whenever I can on country roads. I'm way faster than Marc Marquez and take perfect lines through every corner. Strangely, though, that seems to be the case only when no one can see me. Otherwise I'm sedate and only moderately skilled.

Some of us use their motorcycle to commute. I would like to see pictures taken on the way to/from work. Must not be extraordinary, just a short impression.

On my commute I have a few short stretches of curvy road. Unfortunately at that time there is usually a lot of traffic.

It was fun to commute this morning, -2°C, sunny and dry air.

Unfortunate circumstances are forcing me to put my 2014 CB in storage for a minimum of 2 years. Being that it will sit for so long + I won't be around + nor will have anyone that I trust available to tend to it = what is the 'best' way to leave it parked?

The cb will be in Coloradao = dry hot/cold weather.
The storage unit is climate controlled, they guarantee inside temp of 55-85 deg F.

My initial thought was= fresh oil, no gas at all (it's very dry in CO especially in winter), take battery out, lower the tire pressure, put on center stand, and cover. Is there anything different I should do for 2 year storage? what is the advantage of putting oil in the cylinder heads?

Any thought's and advice is greatly appreciated.
