I was wondering if anyone has found a phone or gopro mount (or adapter) that would screw in where the lollipops go. I have a bar end mirror now and used auto panel fasteners in the mirror holes, but it seems like a good spot for a mount. 2014 standard. Thanks.

GoPro mic sound is not the best so another alternative is a separate handheld recorder with a lavalier mic mounted close to exhaust. Here is my personal setup in case a member is interested.

The microphone I’m using is a Pro Lavalier Microphone JK MIC-J 044 purchased on ebay for around $35


I found a good location on my ASAHI pannier case frame to mount the lav mic above the exhaust…




I wrapped some electrical tape around the mic and sealed it with silicon…


Finally, I took a piece of foam and cut out a spot for the Tascam DR 100 MK III. Not pictured is another piece of foam I lay on top to keep things from flying around when riding and recording videos.


Note: You'll need to sync the audio from the recorder with your GoPro vid and that's it. Hope this helps.

I trailered my bike up to Prince of Wales Island in Ak. 3000+ miles and two ferries. Got the trailer unloaded and am ready to go. Every time I head out it starts raining. POW is having a drought so I'm trying to raise the water level in the rivers by riding a tad each day. No salmon in the streams yet, I expect it's because of the low water. Hopefully the rain forest will get its act together and we can reach a happy medium so that I can get some semi warm days of riding in as well as some good flyfishing in the rain raised rivers. Nice roads, can't wait to get some serious riding and fishing in.

At that time, I think I was advised that all the CB1100 exhibit some clunking on off/on throttle, unless one 'rides around it' by feathering the clutch. I keep my chain lubed and adjusted per the book. It's not a problem, it just seems out of keeping with the overall quality feel of the rest of the bike. However, I was curious if any of the owners on the forum (or Honda) had come up with a fix.

Doubtful, I know, since it's probably in the primary drive or clutch pack.

Any thoughts?

Just replaced my accident damaged HJC with a Shoei Neotec II Modular. Pretty impressed with the weight and design of this helmet.
I have heard the horror stories warning that modulars are deadly, and you will shave your face off in an accident.
I'm pretty confident that this Shoei is going to do it's job, and have been impressed with its fit and finish.
Wasn't looking to spend a lot of cash on a helmet. But when the option was presented, this one stood out as a compromise between operability and usability.
Adding bluetooth headsets is, well, limited, but the version intended for it is not exorbitant in price and fits perfectly.
I've only had the helmet for the last month or so, and the only drawback is the unfortunate lack of utilization of the CB 1000 helmet lock.
Otherwise, very happy with this lightweight and well designed piece of kit.

Since he has some classic honda's and a bit of a relaxed style, would it be a good idea to suggest a testride for him?

Actually not sure if this is a proper thing to do, but it might be a bit of fun and i don't know how to approach this but someone may have an angle on this.

quite awhile ago, I made up some brackets for hard bags for my 2017ex.. I didn't want the bike to look like an overburdened burro, so I chose some pretty small hard bags.. they were ok, but kind of limiting due to their size.. another thing I didn't care for was the lock.. it always took the key to get into the bag.. then also, I wasn't too happy with my choice of LED directionals.. all of those things combined with Charlotte's disapproval of the first bags, inspired me to go bigger.. I may have posted the making of the frames for my hard bags.. I don't remember.. my new bags utilize latches that can be locked or not.. I chose a much larger and better looking LED directional also.. I have pics, if Peter would be so kind as to post them .. I feel so helpless.. and a burden .. sorry Peter..

Got a friend going to check one out tonight. 11K miles. One owner. All maintenance documented and on time. Anybody own one and have some feedback I can pass on?
