Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - max - 07-12-2019 Since he has some classic honda's and a bit of a relaxed style, would it be a good idea to suggest a testride for him? Actually not sure if this is a proper thing to do, but it might be a bit of fun and i don't know how to approach this but someone may have an angle on this. Sorry if this is inappropriate, but the idea just slipped into my head. RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - Cormanus - 07-12-2019 You could try giving him some feedback on his YouTube channel, max. RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - LouA_imp - 07-13-2019 Well Max,you could always take a ride over to his digs( as in mansion) in Newport,Rhode Island and offer him a ride on yours! ![]()
RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - Lord Popgun - 07-13-2019 Hey Lou, it would be one long ride as Max is in New Zealand! RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - Gone in 60 - 07-13-2019 I see him at shows around Southern California periodically. He usually drives into the middle of the action with something very cool, like a Duesenberg, cruises around for about 15 minutes and zeroes in on the one thing over 80 years old that catches his attention. He’ll talk with that person for five minutes and he’s gone. If you wrote Pope, Crocker or Indian on the tank, you might have a shot of getting his attention. RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - Rocky_imp - 07-13-2019 It might be interesting to know what he thinks of the CB, but do we really need his endorsement? Everyone here already knows what a great bike it is

Unfortunately you asked this question too late. A friend of mine actually made friends (sort-of), with Jay. My friend was a part-time welder / sculptor / artist, and he welded together some type of motorcycle (I think), sculptor that he gave to Leno for free. There's a restaurant / motorcycle hang-out somewhere in the hills above Hollywood (I forgot the name) where he met Leno. He had pictures of himself with Leno. Unfortunately, my friend passed away very unexpectedly due to a heart attack a few years ago (he didn't take care of his health, and pushed himself too hard one day while dirt biking in Big Bear). If he was still alive today I am sure he could have asked Jay to take a ride on a CB1100. RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - cookiemech - 07-13-2019 I really do not think a CB1100 is sufficiently interesting to him, based on the many videos of Jay Leno's Garage I have seen. It is too competent, too smooth, too nice. It doesn't break and does not require the attention of a special mechanic to keep it on the road. I love mine, but would NOT have it as my only bike. Just too perfect . . . RE: Does Jay Leno need to test ride a cb1100? - SportsterDoc - 07-13-2019 His garage borders the west side of the Hollywood-Burbank Airport runway 15/33. He is very hospitable to airport police.
