When I purchased the bike it came with a spare set of bars, which were on the bike when the previouse owner bought it but he replaced them with originals.

They look alot like the Type 2 low bars but I think they are even lower and
the serrated center grippy bits look closer together than the originals and Type 2 low at 62mm clear space between the serrations.

Also looks like an extra hole was drilled underneath to accomodate something that didnt line up.

Any ideas? Do the serrated grippy bits on the Type 2 low, line up perfectly like the originals or is some showing?

I have a 2020 CB1100RS and looking at the Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat. Corbin website states they are for 2013-2017 Honda CB1100.
Would one of these seats fit my bike, asked Corbin but they don't know if it would be compatible.

I've no interest in the 'Harley haters'. Harleys are not my thing, but they're fine motorcycles and lots and lots and lots of people have drunk the cool aid and love them. Good for them.

Just a quick question on a 2013 CB1100, with a full tank of petrol, when the my bike fall on her side, there's no petrol leak. But once i lifted the bike upright and parked, Petrol came gushing out on one of the tube below the bike. Is there a gate of any kind that lock out fuel leak when bike is lying on her side? Will dust travel up thru this tube to the petrol tank?

I had to make 1/4 turn adjustment to my chain slack today (on my 2014 Standard) to bring it back into spec. This is the first adjustment I've had to make in 27,000 miles (~43,450 km). Pretty impressive. I've been cleaning and lubing every 500mi, per the schedule, with Honda Chain Cleaner & Honda Chain Lube, then wiping the excess off.

It will be interesting to see how how long it lasts from here.

I know some of you may not be aware of the part played by Chrysler in Honda's CB1100 development, but if your 'bike is suffering a "burping" or "hiccuping" problem, the cause is almost certainly the encabulator.

It's easy to service and here is a simple explanation for you - even the most basic of home mechanics will grasp this. Happy wrenching...

I thoroughly enjoyed owning and riding my 2014 Honda CB1100 DLX, and really appreciated the camaraderie and wisdom of this forum. Would not have found it or worked out the cross country delivery of the bike without the help of a few members of this group.

Well about 2 years ago I had some major health issues, and ended up selling it. (In hindsight, I wish I hadn't!) The health concerns are all behind me now, I'm doing great, and I decided it's time to rejoin the sport of motorcycling. I spent some time trying to locate another pristine DLX, but had no success. I also spent some time test-riding a number of other motorcycles, including the new Honda Gold Wing. I decided to go for it and purchased this brand new still in the crate 2019 base model with the DCT on December 31 and got an outstanding deal plus special financing. The plan was to wait until winter was over to bring it home. Then COVID-19 hit hard here in NJ, including the death of my father who was in a veteran's home that has been decimated by the virus.

If I knew what a mess our world was going to be in I might have held off on this significant of a purchase. But I didn't. And whether the bike was tucked away at my longtime dealer, or here in my garage, it's mine and I'm making payments each month. So this past week I had the pleasure of finally taking delivery on this beauty of a brand new motorcycle! Can you see some family resemblance to the DLX? Both sweet motorcycle that are a delight to own, ride, and care for!

Just got my bike back from a valve adjustment (forgot to ask for clearances) and dyno tune. When I bought my bike it had a Pipemasters 4-into-4 catless exhaust system, I also discovered that the previous owner put a K&N filter in there. I installed the Power Commander 5 myself before I handed my bike over to them, it's a very simple install if you can get the tank off.

Obviously these numbers are not a great absolute reference as each run is going to give you slightly different numbers based on what kind of dyno you're using, ambient temp and humidity, and the tuner's setup. That said, these guys have a very good reputation and I thought it would be of some interest to someone, surely. My 'before' figures are also not a good 'stock' reference, since it had a basic map on the PCV for the '17EX already and some airflow mods, but hey.

It's not a huge difference by any means, but feels slightly peppier and runs smooth as ever, if not slightly more smooth. I noticed a dip in the butt-dyno power levels around 3500rpm before the power commander install which as you can see is clearly gone now. The thing that I liked the most was the super flat torque curve, the CB has such a nice little engine.

I've searched the forum for previous threads about changing out the plastic guard. The only one I see is a reference to Samurider's carbon fiber chain guard. Are there any others that I should consider? The carbon fiber black kinda gets lost in all the black of my standard CB.
