After meeting Amos , Ken and Paul and his two friends for lunch on Thursday last week I went back on Friday on my bike to catch up with my riding buddies on Friday at the Pisgah Inn Country Store.
Soon the conversation went into " till what age do we expect to ride" as most of my friends are into the seventies. After thinking this over on my ride to Mount Mitchell yesterday and today to Lake Lure I came to the conclusion that at 75 my riding days will be over , I will be 70 in September 2020 . My trips are shorter now because of bath room stops after my prostate removal and also my eyesight and reactions are not getting better. I still ride 3 to 4 times a week but do I need 3 bikes ???
I am thinking of perhaps selling the 2017 this summer.
Getting old sucks but I am too old to die young !

Been after a nice looking slip on for a while and finally found a 2nd hand over racing can. Much lighter and a nicer tone. It’s deeper than it sounds in the video which doesn’t do it justice.

Hi wise people, I have just fitted a Fehling rear rack to my 2017 ex. The rack says it’s rated to about 5kg. The box I intend to fit weighs about 4kg.
So I can only carry one glove and a packet of crisps before I go over the weight limit. My question is, is reality different to the sticker? Do I actually fit a box or just use a cargo net? If I carry two gloves will the rack break off and kill me, or worse, scratch the bike? Will the RLETS that took me under two minutes to fit compensate for the puny rack? Do I just look at the rack and polish the chrome? Should I just be thankful that I now have a better handle for heaving the bike on an off the centre stand? No photos because it’s dark, the bikes locked in the garage and there’s no lights in there and I’ll wake the bike up if I start waving a torch around. I thank you in advance for the expected responses.

Went with my younger brother 2016 Triumph Bonneville, and my son's father in law on his new 2020 NC 750 out to Popeye's for spicy fried chicken and then down to the "Pink Pig" for some ice cream. 144 miles round trip.

After much trawling on the Japanese forums I found that this is also a known issue in Japan. I would post links to what has been said but they mirror what has been observed here and it's all in Japanese language.

The key takeaway from an official Japan Honda dealer post is a suggestion to have the ECU reset at a dealer. Here is the content translated approximately:

"For PGM-FI vehicles (with clutch switch)
・The idling rotation does not drop to the specified value.
・The idling speed is lower than the specified value.
There are some irregularities in idling rotation.
In such cases, the following measures may be considered.

● Target: PGM-FI vehicles with a clutch switch
● Event: The idling speed may not drop.
Example CB1100EX 1600rpm
●Cause: When the clutch switch is ON (while the lever is being held), the idle speed is reduced due to the half clutch, and the ECU instructs the ECU to open the IACV to restore the idle speed to the standard value. If that state is repeated several times, improper data will be written to the ECU and idling will not drop to the specified value.
●Correspondence: Reset the ECU (re-learn idling) to return the idling to the proper speed."
