Just like the seat I found and shared a few weeks ago- somebody might want a good deal.

This guy thinks they are stock shocks, they aren’t -

My first time riding in Ohio. My friend Gary and I are visiting the Windy 9 area in SE Ohio that came highly recommended by many friends and it didn’t disappoint. We were especially fortunate to be given the tour of the best roads yesterday by Rickcb and again today by both he and his wife Jennifer. We had a great time on some great roads with the best company. Thanks again Rick & Jennifer!

  CB1100 touring in NSW, Australia

Had to take a couple of weeks leave so why not, hit the road. Road from Sydney to Young, to Jerilderie, back to Young, to Orange, to Scone via Bylong Valley Way (beautiful scenery), to Taree via Oxley Highway (motorcycle heaven), to Singleton via Buckett Way via Gresford (photo just out or Gloucester) and then back home via Putty Rd (again, motorcycle heaven).

Killing the Buzz - Installing "Even Running" Cam?
Posted by: M3-SRT8_imp - 08-01-2020, 09:03 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (8)

It's been a long time, and the 2013 cb1100 runs fine.

Two things I never liked with the bike: The 4-1 Factory Exhaust, which I swapped out for a 4-4 Wyvern.

And the buzzing engine at 3500 to 4500 rpm. I don't like "added" roughness. To me, if it's turbine smooth at all RPMs you did the job right in the first place.

Anybody swap out the factory cam for a smooth running "even" cam, one that also might add a few more ponies?

Need suggestion for OEM Honda rectangle mirrors
Posted by: PowerDubs_imp - 08-01-2020, 05:13 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (25)

I had the Tannex mirrors....and one day I just found one on the floor of my garage- it fell off it's own stalk somehow.

So, I am looking to something out of the Honda parts bin.

They probably have something to fit.

Looking more for a nice tall/wide practical mirror... not something tiny and 'stylish'.

Thoughts?

I know, it may sound weird, however, I know people doing that. And they found it very good.

What do you think?

  Soo..bought a Shoei Glamster
Posted by: PowerDubs_imp - 07-31-2020, 08:53 AM - Forum: Riding Gear - Replies (47)

Just placed the order.

Will take a while to arrive because these aren't sold in the U.S.

I discovered the U.S. helmets are built differently than the ROW.

Apparently the U.S. is firmer foam, intended for high speed crashes, at the cost of impact absorption at lower speed.

But- it also appears the U.S. is about to change their testing and ratings to something close to the softer insides the rest of the world is using.

I loved my old Qwest...and looked long and hard at the Neotec II... but decided even though the flip up and inner sun visor would be fun... I didn't need the extra weight, extra cost, and potential of helmet opening in a crash.

So I researched and bought a Shoei Glamster, and appreciate it's look and simplicity. Seems to test well, and still has a pinlock insert included.
