front suspension oil change CB1100 EX 2015 (23700 kms). recommendations ?. - Alfgaxatico_imp - 11-21-2020 I'm going to change front suspension oil on Monday; the CB1100 ex 2015; with 23600 km it is 5 years old; and I doubt it was changed every 2 years which is recommended. the rear shock absorbers; in a while I will put OHLINS ... since I do not see another brand that does not break the aesthetics of the CB (how ugly the yellow ones are ...) and guarantee. The model I chose is HO 011, and they have chrome springs. I really feel the difference when taking long rides (my butt doesn't hurt as much as it used to with the stock shocks). I read your intro, at 125kg you may want to use a 0.9kg-0.95kg spring and 15W oil. There's a lot of choices for the rear end. Good luck with the project. My decision; is : 1.- change oil front suspension .. to 15W 2.- rear ; change to ohlins HO 011 S36 DRL1 ; silver Ánd spring at my weight; 125 kg add my wife ... (64 kg) - anything ... I have put thickness 15W instead of 10W ... (weight 125 kg and 1.90 m) and reserved the rear Stx36 ohlins and the possibility of raising 0.9 mm in height; with springs for my weight (chrome silver color) .. € 900 placed. With this and change of wheels to Metzeler Z8 roadtec interact; I already have this machine up to date ... with 18-inch wheels ... I think it is a great great improvement. I can say that there is a remarkable change; same journey back home; and rough strips on the ground to limit speed; now they only punish me in the rear; before it was front and back. Sparkly . |
