  A-Pro Gear
Posted by: alexzanutto_imp - 02-12-2022, 07:18 PM - Forum: Riding Gear - No Replies

Hi,

I didn't find this brand mentioned in the forum so I thought it was worth it to give it a shout.

I've owned several items from A-Pro and I have consistently found that is on the same level (if not sometimes better) than top brands like Dainese and Alpinestar. It's actually made in the same area of Italy those two are.

I have owned a leather biker jacket made by them for over 12 years now, and it gives no signs of giving up. I also have textile touring gear (jacket and pants) and to me they are top notch. Comfortable, well ventilated in warm days and well insulated when it's cold.

This shop is their official retailer and they ship in Europe for sure, maybe even worldwide.

Just thought someone might be interested to an alternative to the usual brands, as A-Pro is fairly priced...

Honestly, my wife has Alpinestar touring gear, and I must say the quality is the same for about half the price...

I'm afraid this is getting completely out of hand.

Wife and I finally accomplished our goal of having (functioning) couples Honda singles. They really are quite the pair going down the road together.

If I can't ride for a few months, what are the best options to preserve the inside of the tank and fuel injectors?

  Camera Recommendations
Posted by: deltamark - 02-09-2022, 03:14 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (18)

Hi all,

I'd like to purchase a camera and flexible mounting setup that I could attach to my helmet and various points on my CB1100 sidecar rig. I'd like to to record and publish some "Rudi the Sidecar Dog" excursions and trips, but would also use it to create and share some all-season backpacking / hiking / canoe trips with our younger dog, Hank.

I don't know much about these systems, but a GoPro setup is at the top of my list right now. Any suggestions as to which model, package or accessories might best to suit my purposes?

Don’t use radial tires on motorcycles!
Posted by: LongRanger_imp - 02-08-2022, 03:01 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (9)

I find this interesting. It’s a Dunlop ad from a 1981 issue of Rider magazine. I had no idea radials were so dangerous on motorbikes! I wonder if Tony has this framed and hanging in his office?

  Fuel
Posted by: Wagonpeddler_imp - 02-07-2022, 08:20 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (28)

Just purchased a 2104 CB1100. Waiting for delivery. First bike ever without a fuel petcock...leading to a couple questions. Always used non-ethanol fuel in past bikes (with carburetors)....recommended for the CB1100?
Bike has been sitting for a few months. Would like to replace the fuel in the tank with fresh. IS there a way to drain the tank?
Thanks

Nipped into town (Upper Hutt) last Friday night and ran into a chap with a red 2017 CB and had a bit of a chat. It wasn't until I'd left I realised I hadn't asked him if he was on the forum (Doh !).
Was it you ?

Turn signals option USA in EU
Posted by: Łukasz_imp - 02-07-2022, 12:35 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (7)

Hi, I wont to have turn signals flash all the time with headlight, like in USA. Honda has it in EU after 2018. My cb1100 is 2013. What should I do to change the work of turn signals? If I add one wire from headlight to front turn signals it will be working or should I change the bulbs too? Indicator light will be ok with it?
