I know you Yankee types are parking your bikes for the winter. But here in Florida, it's FINALLY riding season. It's been a long, hot summer, and frankly it's not a lot of fun to ride when your clothes and helmet are soaked in sweat by the time you roll your bike out of the garage. I'm sure our AZ pals can relate.
We had almost a week of strong northerly winds, and today the temperature broke and is in the low to mid 70's. I took the CB for a spin and it ate it up...amazing what that denser air does for the performance. It's enough of a difference that putting the 2Bros back on without adjusting the fueling is hardly noticeable.
The only bummer is my doc wants to bolt in an artificial left hip. I broke it last November in a bike crash and missed the entire riding season. My left leg is now about 1/2" shorter than the right and I have a hell of a limp. Hurts like a bear much of the time too. He thinks I need to do it before the year ends so I don't screw up my back limping around, but I really don't want to miss another season. Maybe I'll stall him off till late spring...

I've been thinking for months about which direction I want to take my CB in....do I wanna leave it stock, cafe it, make it more touring friendly?? Then i was out goofing off with a buddy on a ZRX1100 and it hit me.
Let me explain...We were way out in the middle of nowhere and he wanted to see what the CB would do against his mighty Rex. We slow down and put them in 2nd and pinned it - the CB stayed neck and neck all the way to 4th when we let off. You could tell he was shocked. LOL in all fairness I was kinda shocked myself!
I started thinking- it would be pretty damn funny if I turned this thing into the ultimate sleeper. Lookswise who would suspect the innocent looking, retro, you meet the nicest people on a Honda CB! And I bet with some simple tinkering this thing could be a little stoplight-to-stoplight screamer.
I was talkin to a different buddy today whose bigtime into drag racing, he put a 40-shot of Nitrous on his gixxer 1k and said it was insane. LOL the wheels started turning in my mind.
You could have a ball on this thing with a new airbox, free-flowing exhaust, PCV (with 2 maps) and a lil 40-shot. WOW, I bet you could win some money messing with unsuspecting 600s and hopped-up cruisers hahahahaa

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if Cobra will make an autotune for the CB.....they made one for my Warrior (my last bike) and it got RAVE reviews on the forums, all the guys loved them.
It would be awesome, personally I'd rather spend the $500ish on that than the PCV and have to keep dyno tuning every time I made a motor mod.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Autotune by chance?

I just bought my CB this past Saturday, got it home and read the owners manual, and checked things out. My tool kit only has the Phillips head bit, handle, an Allen wrench, and a fuse puller. I thought this was a rather skimpy tool kit compared to all my past bikes. However, I noticed in the manual that there should be a shock pre-load tool with extension handle, a document bag, a rubber strap to hold down the tool kit, and another rubber strap to secure an optional aftermarket U-Lock. Did any of you receive these other items? If so I need to go back to the dealer and see about obtaining those. The sales rep and finance mgr. were great to work with but I have doubts about the service dept. A service tech went over the bike with me before I left the dealership. He said the bike's minimum fuel octane should be 91. The manual says 86. He also stated I should use 10W40 oil. The book says 10W30. Maybe he's the one who left the missing items off the bike. This is why I do my own service work and don't buy service plans. I don't trust anyone but me to work on my stuff. I've experienced similar situations with service departments at other bike shops and car dealers too.

How many riders who own a 2013 CB1100 have bought this exhaust pipe and do you like it? RS-3 I believe. Can I live with it? I don't want to do anything else to the bike. Please tell me and others the low-down! God Bless..
