  Raising them right

Had the grandson today (normally have him on Fridays but tomorrow I am test riding some Yamahas..Vmax, FJR, Fz09, Super Tenere') so while he was here I thought I'd put him to work

First blow the dust off Grandfathers CB Honda

then polish the exhaust pipes

[url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/theferret111/media/rileyandtrees085_zpsefdde18f.jpg.html][Image: 0d9d7959326f04a9810ed59dc6d8d5f2.jpg]

Better practice using a wrench on the tool box before trying it on the bike

Then he gets to ride his own first Honda bike..red of course like Grandfathers

Has anyone ever given thought to this? I heard about this somewhere, maybe it was here, but I saw the photo today and had to share.

Wonder if a rack could be fab'd for the CB1100???

  More Goodies for the DLX
Posted by: CB4ME_imp - 05-22-2014, 05:01 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (10)

Takashi recently listed a couple of 2014 CB1100’s on his Facebook page.

First is a DLX with Honda’s 2014 top box – which purported costs 10,000 yen less than the top box for the 2013 CB.

And not to be outdone, Whitehouse is offering their K10 kit for the 2014 EX/DLX (Takashi is the exclusive WH distributor for North America):

And finally, Attention RD400 owners. Check out this exhaust offered by Samurider:

went for a ride to a local MC meet and greet
Posted by: gary_imp - 05-22-2014, 02:10 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (7)

There is a meet and greet that happens every month (save the winter months) up here in Seattle called Backfire Moto. When the weather is nice there is always a good turn out.

I took a ride out there yesterday to show off the new CB. I wasn't the only one! Two deluxes in the wild together. I didn't get to meet the owner but I am guessing it was JetA.

Before I got there I took a little detour down some of my favorite Seattle suburban roads.

I would estimate over 500 bikes at the meet of all different styles, makes, and backgrounds. It's really a good spot to just look at everything.

Some of my favorites.

This one I really liked.

The event covered nearly 3 blocks. Here is just a corner with my bike at the bottom.

And lastly, an artsy picture of my bike in the parking garage at work.

Fehling saddlebags support and signals relocation
Posted by: VTR1000F_imp - 05-21-2014, 10:45 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (4)

Our friend [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1570]Barnattina brought to my attention German made Fehling saddlebag supports. I rushed to our shop today and as a miracle they had one kit on stock. I don´t understand that they hold this on stock as we have a very small number of CBs running. It cost me around 80USD and I can use them with my Kijima grab bar. The purchase will be logical for European based CBers as it is not needed to buy this from japanese manufacturers.

The kit contains solid-but-not so nice metal holder for relocation of rear turn signals to similar position as Hepco Becker. The supports are nicely made with spotless chrome. The kit contains plastic blanking plugs for the original position of rear turn signals.

Now I´m just waiting for Romo1961´s [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2528]wonderful relocation kit.

One question. What exact type of connectors do rear turn signal use? I would like to get some for the case Romo will not offer the kit with wiring pigtails. Thumbs Up

  Braided Hydralics questions
Posted by: Buffalorider_imp - 05-21-2014, 07:26 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (4)

I have shopped the usual sources and located kits to replace the brake and clutch lines with braided but the frt brakes set-ups all call for parallel lines from the master to each frt caliper. I would rather duplicate the stock system with a single line from the master to a tee and then to each caliper. Has anyone who has replaced their lines either found a supplier or replicated the frt tee lines themselves?

  Rim tape bling bling

OK, who has done the rim tape bling bling thing on their CB1100? I put some on mine, the jury is still out. A buddy of mine ordered it for me he said it was 3M brand. Don't know if it is reflective or not must wait til dark to find out.
