RE: 1950cc Hand Built British V-Twin - thumper_imp - 05-21-2014 1950cc? So, I'm guessing about 120 ft/lb torque also? Should be a roll-on beast. RE: 1950cc Hand Built British V-Twin - the Ferret - 05-21-2014 Lord Hesketh is still building bikes? Did not know that. RE: 1950cc Hand Built British V-Twin - Damfino_imp - 05-21-2014 I'll take two... RE: 1950cc Hand Built British V-Twin - redbirds_imp - 05-21-2014 Looks a bit different from the original Hesketh bike that was designed after the Hesketh F1 team was sold years ago. http://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/bikes/hesketh-motorcycles-back-vengeance I saw Lord Hesketh in the paddock at Watkins Glen in the 70's with his driver Jame Hunt. Can't decide what bike you want? Here's the all-new Heathkit SuperTurd. It's a café racer! It's a supersport! It's a cruiser! It's a standard! Yes, it's all four in one!! RE: 1950cc Hand Built British V-Twin - Pauley - 05-22-2014 Beautiful lines. Looks like it would be a torque monster. RE: 1950cc Hand Built British V-Twin - thessler3_imp - 05-28-2014 I wrote a letter to Hesketh back when he was building the L-twin bikes. He responded very enthusiastically. Those bikes had some teething problems but looked the part. I saw one at an antique bike show at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome in NY last summer. For what it is worth, I hope he succeeds this time. If Norton can do it, so can he. |
