I love my 13 CB. The more I ride it the more I like it. I've noticed I like it a lot better when the wife is riding with me. Don't know what it is, maybe that little bit of added weight or not, but it just gets a whole lot smoother. She seems to like it a lot too. She had only rode a few times, years ago before we met. She wants to get her a motorcycle, but I think I would be worrying about her the whole time and not enjoying the ride. I know she would enjoy it more not being seated behind me not being able to see much. Any of you notice a difference on the CB two up riding?

Saw my SECOND CB1100 in wild today, Allan brought his "new" CB to the Grotto this morning. He has the four into four setup and boy does it sound nice. I'm too cheap to spring for it myself, but here are a couple shots of his machine. He has some nice things going on here.

Me & my son took a 140 mile trip down back roads. He rode the old deluxe with the new comet 2. I rode the brand new deluxe! He got 62 mpg I got 56 mpg. He loved the comet 2. He had rode the bike before I installed it so he was happy with the fairing. We was using the UCLEAR made by FORCE it's a boomless helment communication system! They work great can be blue tooth to your phone also! So we rode and talked lol. We did both do a roll on at 60mph in 5th gear. He steady pulled away from me up to 95mph he was about. 15 bike lengths ahead of me and he out weighs me by about 50lbs. ( the bike he was riding had the comet 2 and ECM reflash) other than that we just road at speeds of around 60mph Was a great day riding with my son

I'm having a Figawi weekend sale on my bike, 10,500 on Ebay. One day left. If it doesn't sell this time she's staying for a couple years. Then I'm moving my deposit from the 9T to an HP4 Compitition. I don't need two retro's, 1 retro and 1 heart stopper. 2014 is rumored to be the last for the HP4. 2 years with 500 per year into the states. It seems on u-tube most are about 190hp at the rear wheel!!!
I'm investing in some fresh boxers if this deal goes thru.

Watching Kenny Roberts race the TZ 750 Yamaha at the Daytona 200 was a treat but I always wished I could have seen him on the Flat Track version of this iconic bike. Found the Youtube video of his "reunion" ride on his old racer at the Indy Mile just before the Indy Motogp race. Love the sound of that 4 cyl two stroke.

Needs turn signals and mirrors but the license plate holder, guages and headlight (maybe) are there....if you can spot them. Are you ready to ride? Is your butt ready to ride on that seat?

Ahhh....this is more like it:

I've always wondered what I'd do if on coming car made a left turn in front of me or pulled out from a side road at the last moment with almost no reaction time left...I always thought I delay the injury/death by just jumping straight up as hard as I could (the advantage of having your feet under you like the CB1100 vs crusiers being out front).

Then I thought well unless the collision is with a tall vehicle like a semi or bus, I'd at least fly over top and the collision won't kill me but the landing sure could.

Now whether I'd have the gumption to react that way could only be tested with a real situation which I hope never happens, but like jumping out of the 911 buildings, if you are in a frying pan, you'd might just jump out of it and not care where you were jumping to.

But in my sleep tonight I had a brilliant idea.

What if you had a backpack that would deploy a rocket propelled parachute or inflate some helium type balloon that would be triggered somehow like a fighter jet pilot ejection or like a car air bag?

It could pull you off the bike and take you just high enough, say 20-30 feet and maybe even stop your forward motion a bit...unless you were under a bridge or in a tunnel, it would beat a direct hit with the side of a car?

The trigger would be the hardest part, not too soon, not too late.
Everyone thought air bags were an crazy idea too until they figured out how to deploy them in a fraction of a second. I've heard fighter pilots can actually eject sitting on the ground and they will go high enough for their parachutes to open and work.

I know there are a bunch of engineers and inventors on this site....your task jim (mission impossible music playing) if you decide to accept it has been give to you ;-)

My other ideas were to have an inflatable ball inflate around you, but I think this is more doable. I know there are some inflatable devices out there but none that would completely remove the rider from any collision

A German group of bikers organized a demonstration and charity ride (remembering bikers killed in accidents) yesterday. It was wonderful to see free riders, MC members, and street fighter, chopper, sports bikes etc. standing together for their rights and showing respect to the fallen ones.





And the CB in the middle of all of them.
