Any Staintune owners know how to make the muffler louder? I like the sound but would like to have a little more bite. Suggestions?

I have been waiting several days before the weather let us do this large round. Not so much distance to cover, but very winding roads, up and down, it took all the day long.

Galibier pass is quite a challenge for bicycle sportsmen, but many succeed, and are proud to get a souvenir. So some photographs spend all the day taking pictures of bicycles, available through internet the night after (not for free, of course...). They also take pictures of motorbikes and nice cars passing there. I found they did a good job, I paid for getting the files ! (10 euros for 1600 px picture)

I just put the Michelin 160-60/18 tire on my bike. I read that the tire height change isn't much, but isn't the speedometer computer ran? So if I reflash my ECU couldn't I also get the speedometer adjusted to the correct reading?

Greetings from the Badger State. I am looking closely at a CB1100. I may get lucky enough to test ride one soon.

Currently I ride a 2012 GL1800.... Its a great bike, but I don't tour that much and the wing sure takes up a lot of space in my garage.

Just curious... Any other GL1800 riders here that have down sized (or maybe right sized to the CB?

2014 CB 1100 DLX #185

Well I decided to get the yoshi, just ordered it yesterday. Once I install it I will post pics and give a review. First mod added can't wait!

Working on a possible group ride in early September . Dates not set yet.
Have 4 CB1100 owners interested ,so far . Me, Speedgeezer, Golden,
and Leffe. Riding the Dragon , Cherohalla , Hellbender areas .
I live here and can work on a group room rate if there is interest.
Late notice, I know , but summer is going away too fast. Any interest and suggestions are very welcome.

Does anyone keep a journal of their rides? If so, is it just a simple notebook or something a bit more elaborate? Im jealous when people like Ferret and others can speak to exactly how many miles they ride each year... I have to bet that a journal is involved. I can only look at a maintenance log and guess... I'd like to start a separate journal for all of my bikes... or maybe just one for all 3 combined. I was given a HOG journal as a gift once but it seems too big and cumbersome for what I'm talking about. Thoughts...suggestions?

Well, we have had the CB 1100 here in the U.S. since March 2013 and others like the Aussies, New Zealanders, and Japanese on the forum since 2010. 4 years.The complaints about the bike have been so few... I just went back thru 16 pages on the mechanical section looking for issues on this bike (did the same with the UK forum). A couple complaints of ineffective rear brakes in 2013, early complaints of ticking noises under acceleration which turned out to be normal fuel injectors working, a front end shimmy or two. A few cases of rust/corrosion. But really nothing to speak of. Nothing glaring, nothing to warn potential buyers about. We have roughly 1500 members from at least a dozen countries. If there were a recurring problem with the bike, one would think it would have surfaced by now.

You go to other forums and read (yes I do that on occasion, especially on new models I'm not familiar with) about poor fueling issues, recurring oil leaks, suspension issues, bothersome vibrations, wobbles, final drive failures, electrical issues, do not ride orders, recalls, thermostat failures, secondary master cylinder failures, headlight bulbs blowing with regularity, side stands falling off, leather fading, tank swelling issues, broken spokes, et al

It makes you realize what a good job Honda has done with the CB1100.

The problem for a forum about such a great motorcycle is, it limits the conversations we have to talking about things like gas mileage, and tire wear, which accessories are best, and how much we love our CB 1100's.
