  Miami Auto Museum

After going to the AIMEXPO (excellent!) I went to North Miami to the DEZER car/bike museum.
This is a great place with many different displays of micro cars, scooters , bikes , movie cars, military vehicles etc etc.
They have the biggest James Bond memorabilia display in the world .
There are 2 buildings, easy to find and I enjoyed it very much.
If you are ever in the area it is worth seeing, not cheap to get into both buildings but you will be amazed with this collection of transportation vehicles.

  Fork pre-load
Posted by: OldF7Guy_imp - 10-21-2014, 01:49 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

I did a search and could not find anything.

I think but need to verify my front forks are set at the 2 position from the factory. Everything feels good to me. Cushy but yet tight when it needs to be. Can someone tell me the factory settings? Im good with the rear also so far without a passenger. Its a touch on the soft side but that is ok. My Nighthawk is much sponginer. Too soft all the way around for my liking.

Any information here is appreciated. Thanks.

  Good Deal on 2013?
Posted by: emptysea - 10-20-2014, 05:26 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (52)

So, I was at my local Honda dealer and they have a 2013 non-ABS demo for $8000. I think it has 200 miles on it, but it's untitled.

I know that the listed price is not the out the door price, but I'm sure they will deal on it.

Let's say they would let it go OTD for $8500, would that be a good deal?

I was going to put this in the "for sale" section, but it's not an individual selling it and I'm mostly interested in people's feedback on the price/value. However, if you are interested in purchasing it, let me know. I have a pretty good working relationship with the owner and one of the sales people so it's possible that I could help cut through the typical sales BS. I could at least put in a call on your behalf.

  Oldies
Posted by: Delphisa - 10-20-2014, 04:52 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (3)

First week-end of this month I stayed in my village, no need to move for seeing interesting things, we had the visit of a few hundred of old cars and bikes. See [url=https://picasaweb.google.com/jp.sembely/2014_10_05AnciennesAuFontanil?authuser=0&feat=directlink]My photos selection

Two bikes with in-line four catched particularly my attention : a 1972 CB750 Honda, and a FN (model M50, 750 cc, 1923 - I think).

I had a talk with owner of the CB750, about the paint color : I don't remember there were CB with this nice grey, he told me he doesn't either, but he thinks in some coutry, at some moment, this color has been available... Anyway, he likes it ! Wink

Also A Benelli in-line 6 was present (about 1973 or 1975)

Posted by: Antoni_imp - 10-19-2014, 06:28 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (6)

Hello friends.
Previously my CB1100, my bike was a harley street 750.
The luggage rack system and passenger backrest designed by harley is fantastic.
He stands and removes in seconds without any tools.
From what I 've been looking for something similar for my cb , but have not found anything.
In the end I made some supports for my cb.
So I can put the boot in seconds harley when I want.
Some photos.
Excuse my English goggle.

2014 Bread Loaf Seat on 2013 Frame
Posted by: jlhalsey_imp - 10-19-2014, 01:46 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (9)

To those of you who have installed the 2014 "bread loaf" seat on 2013 bikes and found that it fits but the grab rails do not run parallel to the new seat, this can be easily corrected. There is a 2014 bracket that bolts to the original grab rail (garnish) rear retaining bracket which provides a second lower fastening point which provides the correct angle for the rail to run parallel to the 2014 seat.

The part numbers are 50168-MGC-N20 right side, 50169-MGC-N20 left side. you will also need two socket head bolts part number 90125-MJG-770 and two nuts 94050-08000.

if you would like to replace the painted grab rails with polished/clear coated rails the part numbers are 84110-MGC-N20 right, 84120-MGC-N20 left $57 ea at Procaliber. The two brackets are about $8 ea.

I will post a picture later today. Its a pretty easy install, even replacing the grab rails which requires unplugging the turn signal wires.
