Fork pre-load
#1
I did a search and could not find anything.

I think but need to verify my front forks are set at the 2 position from the factory. Everything feels good to me. Cushy but yet tight when it needs to be. Can someone tell me the factory settings? Im good with the rear also so far without a passenger. Its a touch on the soft side but that is ok. My Nighthawk is much sponginer. Too soft all the way around for my liking.

Any information here is appreciated. Thanks.

I have the 2014 Standard and the front forks are in the #3 position from the factory. Here's a page from my owner's manual and a photo (though not the best quality) confirming that it's in the third position. If you look closely, you'll see two grooves visible with the third groove flush with top of the forks; meaning it is currently in the #3 position. Hope that helps!

I'm confident that a single page from an owner's manual shared on this forum in response to a specific question without request for compensation would fall within the fair use doctrine for copyrighted material. Still, it's your show. I respect that and will refrain from posting copyrighted material.

Mine are 8 turns in. Still has too much brake dive. Will be getting new springs / gold valve emulator.

Shock is at its stiffest position as well; better, but not good enough.
