I'm quickly approaching my 600-mile service interval. I bought a filter today but couldn't find the oil I wanted. I ordered some from Chaparral and it should get here in time for next weekend. Looking forward to it!
Which oil and filter you ask? I'm not tellin'! Haha!
Oh, and I picked up a can of lemon scented Pledge. Uh oh, did I just spark a furniture/motorcycle polish debate?

Yesterday when I parked my bike, I locked the handlebars for the first time - bars to full left, push in key, turn to the left, remove. Worked as expected. When I went to unlock, the key had trouble going in. Then it wouldn't turn. Then I got a lot of resistance pulling the key out. I tried four or five times and each time, it wouldn't turn. The top of the ignition slot spun 180 degrees with just the tip of the key inside. I turned it back and put the key in all the way. Again, no go. After fiddling with it for a minute, I finally got it to unlock and start the bike. Everything else seemed fine. Before using the lock, the key would go in and turn as expected. Any ideas what that's all about?
Today, I tried the "spare" key and it seems to be working fine. The key I was initially using continues to give me problems. Really weird. I hope there's nothing inside the mechanism that's chewing up the keys. I'll ride with this key for a while and see if the problem persists. Stay tuned ...

Has anyone installed a 2014 exhaust system on a 2013? Seems to me there was a post on the subject several weeks ago but it was posted as part of some other modifications. I understand the headers on a 2014 are a different diameter than 2013?
Mr. T is also showing a 4 into 2 complete system, Yamamoto Part #11103-82MSN that look very similar to stock 2014. Does anyone have any info on these pipes? I'm wanting to swap my 4 into 1 out but am not sold yet on how the Moriwaki pipes "flare out" away from the bike at the ends.

I was on my way to work Friday afternoon, driving north on Hwy 217 when what should pull along side me silent as a ghost? A drop dead gorgeous '14 CB in red livery. It appeared to be completely stock. First one I've seen as my local dealer is still trying to sell the '13 that they still have. I suppose Beaverton Honda has them, but I haven't visited ol' Bob for a while. Anyway, CB's seem as rare as hen's teeth in my part of the country so it's fun to see one. Owning a bike that's rather scarce makes my Honda special & that adds to the cool factor.
Enjoy your weekend,
The Bee
