Came across this video on Youtube about a motorcycle helmet being developed in Russia that features a heads-up display giving map and turn-by-turn audible directions via a Siri-like voice recognition technology. Very intriguing. Expected cost: $2K. So, would you?

I don't know if anyone has done this yet but I think a set of Business Casual slacks with kevlar reinforcement would be a huge hit for people who motorcycle commute to work. Like dockers but a little slimmer fit. Why hasn't anyone done this yet?? I'm getting tired of having to change everyday lol

Hello everyone,
DISCLAIMER: Ensure you check with your local law enforcement agency before adding any mods I suggest. One person had the nerve to post that I should be careful with advise, get a life. I don't ride your bike and am not responsible for anyone's actions.
I've added a Spirit windshield, new mirrors, TourMaster and Saddleman bags, Kuryakyn Large ISO-Pegs (Highway pegs w/custom bracket), throttle assistant for applying gas without numbness, 2 blue LED lights under the gas tank that are only visible from the side, one each side - yellow LED strips on the windshield facing backwards at blinker level so cars next to you can see your signal for lane change and one 13" red LED strip under the back seat so I have two brake lights, the LED is very bright and people know you are stopping.
The bags and windshield were on my 1984 Honda V30 Magna and fit fine. You'll find that if you document your bikes dimensions, you can make your own brackets and attach almost anything to it. I mounted a universal luggage rack to the V30 easily. These bikes need a back rest and luggage rack for sure. Corbin has a really nice seat for this bike. It has a backrest for both riders and is a little over $500. It's worth it for me, the stock seat isn't very comfortable at all!

| Highway pegs/sliders question |

What I think I might like to do: add highway pegs to my bike that are strong enough to protect my bike in the event of a drop OR add sliders that are long enough and positioned in a manner in which they could serve as highway pegs.
What I don't want to do: fabricate mounting plate or brackets. Add crash bars.
Any thoughts, links, or pics on this subject?
Thanks!

I recently bought the Comet fairing Huladog was selling, that came with a clear standard windscreen, and also the optional taller tinted "touring" screen.
It was pretty obvious, even unassembled, that the touring screen was much cooler looking, so that's how I put it together and mounted it on the bike. Yes, the "cool" factor was there, and I loved the look, but I found I was getting a lot of wind and turbulence right at about face level, and a fair amount of wind roar along with it. Regardless, I rode it like that for a few rides since it looked pretty sharp.
Well, some common sense finally kicked in, and I swapped out the touring screen for the shorter standard version. HUGE improvement. Much calmer air at speed, finally resulting in more "clean" air hitting me about mid to high chest area over 70 mph, and WAY less noise all around. I'm even getting used to - and liking - the look.
Just FYI, I'm about 6', so your results may vary due to height, position on the bike, etc., but I thought I'd share this for anyone who was considering ponying up for the optional windscreen, thinking it would be an improvement at speed...

Hello all. New here. I’ve been hunting for a used 2013 CB1100 in Colorado, and I’m excited to get one soon. I love the classic body and inline 4 engine. However, I do plan on modifying it a bit to give it more of that old school UJM look. The Whitehouse K-10 kit looks sweet, but a bit pricey for me. So, I had a couple of questions for you all. One, has anyone seen any pics of the Whitehouse K-10 tank with the standard seat (or the Deluxe seat)? Most of the picks I have seen of bikes with the K-10 tank are with the retro seat added. I’m not sure if it would look right with the standard, but would like to see an example. Also, does anyone know if the 2014 Deluxe seat would fit the 2013 standard CB1100? The 2014 Deluxe seat is a little more to my liking than the standard 13, but not sure if it would fit the standard 13. Lastly, anyone who has ordered parts from Samurider to the US, how is customs? Is it expensive (never ordered anything large from overseas)? Thanks!
