Was at my local Costco and came across some decently priced Lego sets. I bought a Lego Batman Batcycle model and decided to build my first Lego set in probably 20 years. Wasn't until I was 3/4 way through that I realized it looks strikingly like our CB's!

Have to admit, I partied a little too hard Saturday night with some friends, and my head just wasn't right Sunday morning to make the hour-long ride to the museum. So, when I was walking back to my car, rather than my CB, I noticed something very interesting in the motorycle parking area.

The Argentina license plate caught my eye. I couldn't I.D. the bike, as I had never seen anything like it, but looking up the NV200, it's a Bajaj. It definitely looked like it had made the ride to California, as a lot of it was held together with duct and electrical tape.

I wonder if I had bumped into the owner at some point during the day. Must have been someone visiting the museum.

I was reading about many using Ghul tune/derestriction for an ECU flash. Anyone recently had this done? I contacted them and he said Guhl Motors
No. We offer no services or parts to any vehicles with a vin number, including all motorcycles. Anyone have another source for ECU reflash?

The sw-motech engine guard is almost begging for some home-built, comfy, elegant highway pegs. My requirements
- cheap
- solid (won't bend forward, sideways or down) under my heels,
- easy to install and remove
- good (not cheap) looking
- good position for my long legs (slightly forward of headers)

The design is done, homedepot parts brought home, assembly and testing in the coming days. Details useful for anybody ?

After I solved my ABS (bleeding) problems last year - not entirely painless - today I start trusting in those people who say ABS is just another pain on a m/c. Here is why:

My ABS light goes off after launch, but then comes on, every now and then ... 5-10-20 miles. Sometimes it goes off after a while. Sometimes one has to toggle the ignition key. Guess, sound like a sensor problem to me, in particular since the baby has seen a lot of dirt in the last few weeks. Alrighty, I clean everything - doesn't help.

So I check the SM, it says wheel sensors cannot be adjusted, "make sure nothing is bent". Thank you. Value should be 0.02 - 0.05 in, and so I check. Front is straight, clean and looking good, with 0.03 in. Next back, everything is un-bent, clean, straight and looking good. And I read 0,01 in. I see nothing which could explain the unexpectedly small gap. Spinning the wheel - same result everywhere.

Could this explain my light coming on ? I'd rather not bring all those greenbacks and ask the dealer.

My recently purchased 2014 at 4100 miles has the original tires. No observable tire issues but I want to replace them. There is a nearby dealer in Canton, GA and I don't relish the thought of riding into Atlanta. Any recommendations or experience with businesses in N GA area?

Went to Helm, Inc to buy a service manual for my 2014 CB. Reasonable price of $50, but shipping and handling added ~ $40 which is absurd. My question is will a 2013 service manual be sufficient or are there substantial differences other than transmission between the '13 and '14? I don't plan on anything major just like having a reference other than owners manual.

My wife just purchased a 2023 Yamaha X Max 300 scooter. She is wanting the factory low seat which is only available overseas. It is not in the USA acc book nor can my local dealer find it by part number

Well, would you look at all those marks? It's looks like it's that time again. Time for all of you to get your best cameras out, look for your best scenery and circumstances and START SENDING ME PICTURES.

Last year we were blessed with a lot of really cool rolling shots, but this year we're going to have to rely on everybody's far flung ingenuity to get it done. Saddle up in good weather, pack your DSLR and head to someplace unique and interesting! Show off your bike and immortalize it on one of the 12 months of the official CB1100 calendar. As always, submissions that get a month spread will also get their own personalized quote on the calendar and their birthday called out on the appropriate date for everybody to celebrate.

Many of you have already participated so you know these guidelines but I'll put them here again for everybody who's new or maybe hasn't been able to make a good submission yet:

* Distribution should be the same as previous years. It looks like I can stick to my previous year's break-even pricing of $15.00 per copy, shipped, all inclusive. As many of you know I absolutely REFUSE to make a profit. This is just for fun.

* High resolution photos are necessary. When I blow up an image to print as a high gloss full page spread, many cellphones just don't have a good enough lense to make it work. I've been able to fudge some in the past and get a good shot or two out of people's cellphones but by and large it doesn't always work well.

* If you have low resolution photos.....SUBMIT THEM ANYWAY. There's a collage that's made for the back cover of every calendar, and since the images are so small, cellphone resolutions aren't really an issue. I want to focus on high resolution shots but if you still want to get your bike on the final product somehow, don't be shy.

* Focus on the bike. Some shots have beautiful scenery, some shots have great people in them, and some shots are very artistic, but the real star of the show and the reason we're making this calendar is THE BIKE. Every picture is focused on a CB1100 of some variety. Maybe it will be a picture next to your favorite landmark, maybe an artistic close up of your favorite angle, maybe a picture of your favorite person (yourself) cutting up a corner at speed, whatever you want to show off! As long as the bike is front and center and isn't melting in the background.

* Keep it clean. As much as we all want a picture of Houtman in a Bikini featured for the Month of June, I don't think it's in the spirit of what we're trying to do here. self explanitory.

* Submit all images in their original format. Please no IMGUR or hosted links, just send me the original file. This keeps the file quality and makes it easier for everybody to get their submissions to me. Just contact me on either this thread or via private message and I'll pass out my email for submissions.

* Submit all images before the end of october! I hate to leave anybody's cool submissions out, but the truth is that if I don't get this work in its finished format off to the print shop by the end of October, there won't be enough time to make sure I get the Calendars and send them out to everybody who purchases one before the end of the year. Obviously a Calendar is useless if you don't get it before the new year starts, and this is doubly important for those of us that don't live in North America (and there are many of us who don't live in North America that I'm committed to accommodating).

*If you submitted something last year that was maybe too late or was passable quality but we somehow didn't have room for it, please please please remind me directly!! I don't want anything to fall through the cracks!
