  Tank Stickers
Posted by: SlyvesterZ_imp - 06-30-2015, 03:31 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

Hey guys hope all is well.

I was just wondering what's the best way to remove the stickers that are on the fuel tank when you first buy the bike?

SOHC CB750 rebuild from a box 'o parts Hackaweek
Posted by: furious_blue_imp - 06-30-2015, 02:57 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - No Replies

I didn't notice that anyone's mentioned this yet.

There's fascinating, still on going, series of videos on 'Hackaweek' of a guy who is doing a complete rebuild of a CB750 that he bought as a pile of parts.
It's up to episode 26 or so, nearing completion.

I've learned many things about the CB750 that can only come from seeing the thing in pieces and having someone go through the rebuild. Mostly a one man job with hand tools, only occasionally requiring a 2nd person (to get the engine into the frame) and a visit to a machine shop (to machine the cases to fit custom rods as the author found out that Honda no longer stocks the 'one use only' connecting rod bolts, so he couldn't reuse the original rods !)...

  Forum Store Coming Soon(ish)
Posted by: Guth_imp - 06-30-2015, 12:14 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (32)

I've been working on putting together an online forum store, basically to make some t-shirts available. I'm a little out of my element when it comes to getting the e-commerce side of things set up so this project has been dragging on for quite a while now. At any rate, I'm finally getting close. I've found a printing fulfillment outfit that I'm happy with (the shirts don't self destruct after a few washings). I'm now trying to finalize the paperwork needed for distribution — to cover sales tax issues and such.

Yesterday I received a couple of new test print shirts. I chose the 2013 standard variant for these shirts but I've also worked up options with the 2014 standard and deluxe models as well as a few other designs. It's hard to tell in the photos, but the bike images themselves are done up in an illustrative style rather than a straight up photo presentation. I'm pretty happy with the way these have turned out. I hope to have things wrapped up soon. If anyone else out there in forum land has set up an e-commerce shop and would like to share any wisdom you've gained, feel free to PM me.

A CB1100 Variant in the works?

Looks like there may be some life left in the CB1100 family. I'd buy this one in a minute:

  What kind of seat???
Posted by: Swartzracer_imp - 06-29-2015, 01:11 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (13)

Ok guys I need some input and advice. I have a 2013 cb. I have the stock seat. I like the looks of it but honestly I can only go for about an hour and I have to get off. What recommendations do you guys have for an aftermarket seat? I don't want to get a taller seat as I am not that tall. Only 5'6". Any help is greatly appreciated.

Road comet 1 on 2014 vibration.
Posted by: walrusz06_imp - 06-29-2015, 11:46 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (26)

Hi there. I recently received the road comet for my cb 1100. I installed it today, great quality etc.

However I'm noticing some pretty heavy vibrations. Have any of you noticed this? Any suggestions to fix?

Mostly around 2000 rpm. It's not hitting something on the bike like gauges etc. seems the fiberglass housing just resonates...

Any member here riding down the 101 South Sunday around 4pm?

It was a nice red CB1100. It's the first one I've ever seen in the wild besides mine.

  Wiring diagram for turn signals.
Posted by: kmoney_imp - 06-29-2015, 01:58 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (21)

Just wondering if anyone with a service manual has the wiring diagram for the front turn signal setup.

I'm looking to swap the stock signals for some Rizoma Club L position/indicator lights. These run dual LEDs with white position lights on all the time, switching to orange flashing indicators only when you signal. On the CB though the front signal lights are always on and then flash when the signal is engaged. Not sure how to wire the Rizomas into this this setup.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've recently started taking the bike to work. The view out my office window has improved tenfold! Brings a smile to my face every time I look up from my computer.

  CB1100 Stickers
Posted by: metalmaven_imp - 06-28-2015, 11:22 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (12)

Well I am one of those guys with hundreds of stickers on my tool boxes. I just had to make one for the CB. I am selling these, (not for profit) in my etsy store if you want one otherwise I will be including them in shipments of my license plate brackets. If you already got a plate from me, PM me your address and I will mail you one for free. I only made 20 so if you want one let me know asap. Thanks!
