| Recessing a fuel tank. |

Looking for options on recessing a fuel tank to allow space for lower bars and clip ons. I know I saw one CB that had it done for clips on, but I can't for the life of me find that picture again. Anyone have any experience with that? I imagine any body shop could do it... just looking for some tips.

Hello,
I just purchased a new 2014 Standard after about a year on the fence. Still waiting for the shipping company to deliver, hopefully in about a week. Just wondering what is the best rear carrier to buy? Has anyone gone with a black carrier?
Thanks,
Dino

Hi folks,
I did something silly today - i switched off my CB11 and forgot to turn off my Oxford Heated Grips before I left the bike for an hour. I came back and it didn't turn over, making a buzzing noise from the battery.
My question is… Can I simply recharge the battery? I'd like to avoid buying another! Thanks!

Every once in a while I'm reminded that I don't know as much as I'd like to think I do (and I don't even really think that I know all that much to begin with). This past week was a good example. Combine hosting limitations with some less than efficient forum software settings and you might find yourself blocked from the very forum that you set up (yes, that's where I found myself). I now think that all is well with the forum setup for the time being. Fingers tightly crossed. I'm sure that I'll have other similar bridges to cross down the road as this place grows.
I also launched the forum store, only to shut it down after just a few minutes over some configuration confusion (anyone detecting a pattern?). This lead to a bit of confusion for a few folks. Again, my apologies to Cormanus for a crazy sequence of events. Cormanus was the first official forum store customer. He placed his order only to watch the store link removed shortly after ordering. (I believe that your order should be fulfilled in the next couple of days.) After umpteen emails between myself and the businesses I'm using to handle t-shirt sales and printing I think that everything is finally in order.
So now both the forum itself as well as the forum store are up and running. Hopefully without more irritating error messages or general confusion for everyone that enjoys hanging out around this place.

| Seats redux : Tiros vs K&H from samurider |

OK friends,
While I don't hate the factory seat, I think I will need to upgrade for longterm comfort. I've narrowed it down to the Tiros-K and the KandH hi.
The Tiros-K seems like a thicker padded old school Honda factory type of seat, maybe similar to the OEM seat just thicker and cushier? Anybody who owns one care to comment?
The KandH looks interesting, but not sure what type of feel it would have with the "injection sponge". I'm envisioning a Sargent World Sport type of seat that is initially very hard but slowly custom conforms to your bum. I found that this type of seat on my old DR650 got very comfortable over time. I see there is a weight setting for the hardness of sponge...it that pure rider weight or estimated pressure on the seat counting the weight borne on the pegs and handlebars?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Scott
PS - yes I did the search function before asking the questions!
