Anyone have any clicking or knocking coming from the engine? Sounds like it might be the valves but I haven't looked to much into it yet. Just heard it at a stoplight on my way home last night.

850 miles on the bike. Changed oil at 600 with Royal Purple Max-Cycle and a K&N oil filter.

Spoke with Eric Wood, President of Woodcraft today about clip on adapters for the CB1100. It was the first request he had for any parts for this bike. He says it would take 25 orders to break even on the R&D for him. Let me know if you're interested. Maybe we can get an order going.

Thinking about attending the Indy MotoGP this year. Never been into MotoGP much, but now that the bug has bit, I really want to check out a race in person and with Indy being so close to Chicago, why not? Will probably just purchase a ticket for race day and ride down there with my Dad, but anyone that has had any experience with going to these races, please chime in.

Are GEN ADM tickets a good idea? Looks like you just pay $50 and then you find a grandstand or area where you can stand. I would like to state that my Dad will need a wheelchair when we get to the event as this will be a lot of walking for him. With that in mind, is reserved seating a better idea? Are the stands wheelchair accessible?

1. The headlight on my 04' BMW R1150R sucked.. Really really sucked.. Like dangerously dim and crappy.

2. The headlight on the CB is fan-fricking-tastic, just so sharp and bright.Also the full time lit blinkers/running lights are a nice touch..

3. Now that I can see I remember that I love riding at night..

4. The new CB1100's dash is super clean and easy to read and sort of beautiful at night..

5. The CB1100's highbeam is bright enough to be a weapon, and that is ok with me..

6. Did I mention how much I love riding at night?.

I am going to be starting a ride Thursday of this week. I need to take
care of some family legacy issues up in Montana. I'm not an
adventurer or anything. I'll be getting on I-15 and rolling as well as
I can up to Great Falls where my father's family is from. I am afraid
that for me "roughing it" will be hitting a motel on the road. I was in
my 30's and early 40's the last time I went on long hauls on a bike.
I've been from Atlantic to Pacific and from Maine to Fla. on rides.
With this situation coming up, it will give me a chance to finish out
on my dream/goal/??? to go from the Mexican boarder to the
Canadian boarder. I'll take a day from Great Falls and run to the
Canadian boarder to do it. Then at sometime in the future I'll make
the run to either Mexicali or to T.J. and cover it. I'll be taking my
cannon with me so hopefully I can bring back some shots from the
trip. I am looking forward to this ride on this bike. The first ride
PA to CA and back on my first Honda CB650 that went so well.

They were reporting spotty showers for every day this week (we are already 1" over our average rainfall for July.. and June was the 8th wettest June on record) but for my zip code they were predicting rain after 10 AM, so I left a few minutes after 7 AM for my morning ride, on dry roads. Guess I got out of my zip code because within 10 miles my tires were throwing wet stuff from the wet roads onto the front of my engine cases, pipes etc. Oh well, bought it to ride.

Maybe I could get Ride4Now to come up and detail it for me

41 miles this morning, and except for the wet roads, it was a very pleasant morning ride.

I've been rummaging around, including on Samurider, for a simple clutch lever destroyed during a stationary bike dropping incident, but 2012 and earlier CB1100's just don't feature on any of the lists. Rarely (I think once) - I saw a 2013 - 2014 version. My bike is from Japan.

Can anybody tell me A) are the levers the same for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015? B) any recommendations to have one delivered to either England or Vietnam

If the originals are not available I will look at those fancy "adjustable" type ones in a weird colour. Red on one side, purple on the other should do for the psychedelic touch

Honda seems to have done a poor job of promoting this bike to the general motorcycling public.

Sunday I went for a ride and stopped for coffee. A very excited fellow motorcycle enthusiast walked up to me and asked (you guessed it...) "what is it?".

He really like my 2014 CB1100 Deluxe... I do too for that matter.

There are cleats on the bottom of both controls. Anyone know the purpose? I think I'm going to shave them down for a little more clearance on the bars. The ultra low bars make contact with the tank on really tight turns.
