Wreck September 28
To: The ferret, CA200
Sorry to report I got this PM from long time forum member KyHiker (Steve) this morning.
Hi Mickey
I had a serious accident in So Indiana on September 28. Something caused me to run into a ditch. I was life flighted to UofL where I spent two weeks and then was transferred to Frazer Rehab for another two weeks. The bike was totaled. I was able to retrive the custom seat by Corbin.
I am recovering and dont think I will have any lasting effects. I was wearing my helmet but sill suffered a TBI(traumatic brain injury) on the right side of my head, also many cracked ribs,a punctured lung, and cracked vertebrae. I am in a outpatient rehab at Frazier twice a week.

Some of you might remember a ride report I did about a ride with Steve about a year ago. Nice guy.
Sorry to hear this happened and wishing Steve a full recovery.

Hey guys.
Put some new gaiters on today. Playing around with a gopro session. Check out the video if you like... I'll have to find a better way to get sound on the arrow exhaust and race headers one day. Headlight mount might not be the best option.

Removing the tank... read the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL and following steps. The fuel pump 3 pin connector is what stumps me. HOW DOES IT RELEASE? There appear to be tabs on top and bottom as well as side but I can't get them to release. Anyone know how to release this connector?
By the way, the U-tube how-to is pretty much a joke. The guy doesn't release pressure on the tank and just pops everything apart in less than a minute. I suspect they want to make power commander install look as easy as possible.

2k miles on it now. Still looking good. Personally, I prefer how it handles over stock. I've had both stock BS and Dunlops on my bike so I can compare.
The t30 is stable at speed, the tread pattern grips well. Sheds h2o well also.
Cornering is excellent, no squirm. So far no feathering or odd wear pattern. I'm preferring it over stock, remains to be seen if it'll last longer than the 4 to 5k I've been getting from the oems.

Shawnee Honda in Shawnee, OK is listing a 0-mile 2015 STD model for $6999.00, but for local pick up only, they state they will not ship. I'm thinking it may be worth the 650-mile drive to fill out the paperwork and then trailer it home.
Has anyone dealt with them before? Am I just going to find out that the $7k price will get padded with fees? The Ebay listing doesn't specify any document fees or other dealer "prep" fees, but that doesn't mean they won't try to slip them in later.
Any ideas why they won't ship the bike if I arrange my own shipper?

Dear Customers,
We regret to inform you that we have found out a problem in strength of the Ryujin fender eliminator kit.
The main aluminum plate where the license plate hold might break due to less strength of the material.
We would like to ask you to stop using the product until you receive a replacement.
We will send you an upgraded stainless steel version within a month.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we caused you.
Respectfully Yours,
Takashi Takase
