Whats up fellas, need some help here, I've tried googling with no luck...
So my new battery came today, while i was filling it up I noticed it came with a thumbtack...it said if the electrolyte was very slow draining into the battery poke a hole in the container and it would let the air in so it would fill faster.
Well, the last cell was taking forever to fill so i poked a hole, then suddenly it started to overflow.
I cleaned up as much as i could but it looks like 2-3oz (could be more, could be less - but it wasn't much) didn't make it into the battery like it was supposed to....
My question:
Anyone know if this will affect the battery performance? I know I have to let it sit for a while (20 mins or so) then charge it; so I'm going to check it with a multimeter tomo, but I'm curious if I just ruined a brand new battery?

A buddy gave me his Pacifico Fairing, Aero model, is too narrow for the CB1100 without pulling the bracket that holds the signals and remounting the gauges. I was not all that keen going that far to mount the fairing as an experiment.
But I'm tossing up the this data point for others that may be more motivated to toss this nice fairing on their CB.
Now if it was a Don Vesco Rabid Transit; the motivation would be very high! Still looking for one of those.

I'm a new CB1100 owner as of November 21. Based on the great information on this forum, I decided to buy the Honda OEM Top Box from webike, including the appropriate rack for my 2013 model. In reading through the information on the Top Box, it looks like it may be designed for the "DLX" rear rack (N40 model). Has anyone successfully mounted the Honda Top Box on the "Standard" rear rack? Any issues with that? Thanks in advance.
