Still looking for a windshield that will knock off wind on my chest AND face. So far, the NS Street Shield EX does not do what I expected. Anybody have any experience with the PLEXISTAR 2? It is 2" taller and much wider due to wings for the hands. It is listed as fitting the 2014 CB1100.

I have very quickly learned so much about the CB1100 with the posts and help from fellow forum members, so now the fun begins!

On Thursday I will pick up this very nice 2013 CB1100 and will immediately start personalizing it to my own taste.

Inspired by forum members Chip Beck and Papa Weeley, today I ordered a color matched Road Comet fairing, side panels and sport front fender. I also ordered the "Chip Beck" replica Corbin seat, a Lucas tail light / license holder, Lockhart Phillips turn signals, Honda OEM heated grips, CB500F mirrors and a Pilot chrome chain guard.

I purchased 2014 CB1100 DLX 4into2 exhaust header from Motogeezer, then ordered a set of Over Racing stainless slip on mufflers to enhance symmetry and sound.

Lastly, I working with Seventh Gear Design to pick up their 37T rear and 19T front steel sprocket set.

Installing all of these new goodies should keep me busy until our winter weather moves out and I finally get some regular riding in.

I'll post updates as I progress with these changes and will also give my first riding impressions.

I need this like a hole in the head, but I've taken in my winter project. Or winter/spring/summer/fall project if things don't go to plan. It is a 1979 Moto Morini 500 V twin, a bike with virtually no presence in the US, but fairly well known, and admired, in Europe.

Pretty amazing engineering for it's day, and known as a light, nimble handler. This one has been sitting for some time, but is all there, and I picked it up for a song. It sat in an airplane hangar next to a rotting, squatting, leaking, and for sale Citroen SM, so in comparison, my project will be a breeze!

Anybody know how to find and order JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) parts? Or European? Many of those parts differ from USA parts. Ie: rear signals are nicer and smaller and have correct wiring.

This was a unusually warm and beautiful December weekend in Virginia. After taking care of some responsibilities around the house and yard yesterday, I managed to sneak in a short ride with each one of my kids in the afternoon. Riding with my 12 year old daughter was particularly special to me as she very rarely ever wants to ride motorcycles and has all but written off her little CRF70 dirt bike due to a minor spill at the dirt bike track a couple of years ago that spooked her. Yesterday, she said that she enjoyed the ride and that she would be willing to go again sometime. That's progress!

Could somebody please confirm for me the L R orientation of the wheel spacers. On the rear wheel the larger spacer goes to the left (sitting on the bike).
On the front the larger spacer goes to the right.

The results of a search show this to be the case but installing the large one on the right on the front wheel does not allow the left side brake caliper to fit onto its disc. So I am confused.
Or should both large spacers go to the left or do I just force the caliper into place?
My bike is a 2010.
