  Rear turn signal extenders
Posted by: bflint - 01-04-2016, 02:40 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (10)

Has anyone come across some nice looking rear turn signal extenders for a 2014 Deluxe? The front strap of my large size saddle bags comes up over the driver's part of the seat which is ok, but when I add on the integrated tail bag, it becomes un-ridable (fyi, this saddle/tail bag combo works great on my 91 Nighthawk but not on my 14 CB100). I know there was a member who had some custom made nice looking extenders, but they are evidently not for sale.

  19T PBI Sprocket
Posted by: redbirds_imp - 01-03-2016, 11:50 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (6)

After waiting months now for a response from 7th Gear Designs, I gave up that course and ordered a 19T front sprocket from PBI and it arrived Saturday. PBI does not list a steel rear sprocket for the CB as yet. Will install the front sprocket this week.

Rear brake light LENS removal DIY?
Posted by: Riko_imp - 01-03-2016, 03:56 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (13)

I am thinking of replacing the rear brake light with this LED version from Endurance:

I like the LED look of it, but I don't like the smoked or the clear lens they provide with the kit...so I want to keep the stock red lens.

So today I decided to take a look at the rear light module and saw that you could remove the lens, but I wasn't too keen on forcing too much that would brake the tabs holding the lens in place.
2 tabs at the bottom, 2 tabs at the top.

Is there a technique to unclick that lens from the module?

Thx

Similar to the film, "Wild Hogs", I'm chatting with a friend that makes custom T-shirts and patches, going to try designing something along the lines of the Thread title.

As soon as she has a few designs sketched out I'll post 'em here.

As of today, I consider myself an official Old Geezer... I think I'd rather be called a "Wild Geezer" ... Confused

black spots cilinder head bolt cover area - sealing problem or nothing?
Posted by: Riko_imp - 01-02-2016, 10:13 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (11)

Hmm,

did some riding in the city today, and after inspection I noticed what seems to be black spots on the right hand side cilinder head cover area, hard to describe so I encircled the spots in green:

I'll try to wipe it away as good as I can (its hot at the moment and quite far to reach) and keep an eye on it after a ride.

Does this look like a classic issue of a cilinder head cover not tightened enough to spec?
Cause when I google this small neglect, the leaks don't occur in that spot but rather on the outside on the top fins...but there its all dry..

What do you guys think?
