Did a search and came up with next to nothing...

Fork-mounted Lowers.(Wind deflectors) ..2014 CB1100 standard...Do not find lowers for this model for specific model fitment....Any help as to brand, item #, source to buy, etc. would be helpful.

Any help for universal ones that work for you would be helpful..

I've got my first trip scheduled for April - Texas Hill Country.

Approximately 3 days, covering about 750 miles total.

Question is, chain lubing. I'm guessing it would be prudent to bring the lube, and plan on at least one application during the trip.

Thoughts, suggestions?

With my CTX700, I was lubing about every 500 miles.

Since my CB is stored for the winter, I went through some Hero camera footage from the Mohawk Trail. I messed up on the camera setting on one leg of the trip and instead of capturing video, I captured images (one every second!) so I went through 3700 images and selected a few to show.

Dealer installed these risers for one hour's labor today on my 2014 CB1100 standard. He rerouted one or more cables with no problems... So far I don't notice much difference in how I feel when riding the bike, but I can say they move the bars back 2" (not 1 3/8th as claimed in ad) and up about a half inch when measuring perpendicular from the ground up.

I will be having the stock seat revamped by MeanCityCycles in Maiden NC one of these times...Close enough that I can do it on a ride-in basis. Risers cost about $115 shipped plus one hour's labor at $80.
I'll have more to say after a longer ride, and also after revamping the stock seat which I find uncomfy unless I sit very far forward...
When I sit at the rear of the rider's part of the seat I feel like I am sliding forward.

While I'm searching for a CB1100 I have a 68 CB450 K1 half way through a complete rebuild in my garage and basement. I bought it May of 2015 with the intent of getting it running good and riding it around town. I'm 55 and have been riding motocross for the last ten years after not even sitting on a bike since I was 22. I broke my wrist at work a little over a year ago and unfortunately I can t ride MX anymore. Thats where the 450 comes in to fill the void. I did put s few hundred miles on it this summer but I know I need something bigger for longer rides. I"ll post up some pictures of my project.

Bike as I bought it with pitted chrome, tarnished aluminum and chipping paint.

First thing I did was strip the bike to the frame for powdercoating. Bought new rims and spokes and relaced the wheels myself to a NOS rear hub and a cleaned up front.

Well I finally got me a 2013 CB1100. I drove over to Midwest Action Cycle and bought OLE's old bike for $5100. I thought that was a great deal. Plus they are installing new tires on it. I think maybe Ole may have given them to the dealer when he traded it in. Plus they said they would store it at the dealer for free until Spring. I couldn't be happier. It looks like Ole took pretty good care of it too. Thanks to all of you for your encouraging posts and I just know I will be very involved here on the forum. LET THE FARCKLING BEGIN!

I have read about a pretty freak accident on another motorcycle forum and it made me think about visibility. It concerned a car pulling into a parking space and not seeing the motorcycle that was already parked there. The rider had just put his helmet on and was proceeding to push the bike off the center stand. He was hurt and lucky he was not killed. It made me think about our 2014 CB's. Blacked out, even the wheels. If the rider wears dark gear, especially his helmet I'd guess he would not stand out very much. Especially in low light conditions. Something to think about. His 28,000 dollar motorcycle was a total loss. Those neon green helmets and jackets might be worth considering.

I made my own shifter peg cover yesterday to prevent "scuffing up" my new boots. Cut a strip of rubberized shelf liner (like used in tool shelving or kitchen drawers) and double-face taped it around the rubber shifter cover. My thought is the shelf liner will "give" a little vs. the hard rubber peg cover.
