Went into the hospital today for outpatient right-side inguinal hernia repair. Had a great team and all went swimmingly. All done.

Apparently that last track day really got it to popping out. Doc said he had to install a "cone" shaped piece of mesh to plug the hole.

Ain't using no ten-dollar words because the Norco is doing its job.

So my company moved to a new office recently. Parking is in a surface lot and a parking pass is required. The pass is the "hang from the rear view mirror" type. I want to ride my motorcycle to work a few times a week but I have no way of securing my pass to my bike. If I just hung it on the handlebar it would walk off.

Anyone have any suggestions for a more cost effective alternate?

That brings me to my problem. My 2013 CB1100 has been sitting for most of the summer and now when I shift into 1st gear the bike dies... with a big 'Klunck'!

It starts and idles just perfect... step on the shifter and sort of jumps and dies.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Just sitting too long should not present this problem.

Finally completed the first oil change myself.

- Oil Filter came off easily with the std oil wrench.
- No major issues overall, checked the chain , throttle play.. everything was fine.
- Installed new Honda OEM oil filter ( Hand tight only)
- Replenished it with Honda recommended oil.( Was careful not to overfill by watching the oil sight glass window)
- After draining out all the used oil from the bike , I dropped off the oil to a recycling depot. Noticed very fine shiny material on the bottom of Blitz oil collector. I use this oil collector to drain the oil on my 2001 Triumph Bonneville as well and have never cleaned it after emptying all the used oil. This time I decided clean this to watch for any shiny deposits during my next oil change..
- Feels great and my weekend has already started..

Hey guys, I'm looking to swap my '79 cb750 swingarm for a 2013 cb1100 to accomodate a wider rear tire. Can anyone here with a 2013 measure their swingarm width for me?

The part that connects the frame from side to side, not the length of the swingarm.

I have a new 2014 CB, no miles on it. It will start up but when I put it into first gear the engine cuts out. Did I get a lemon? What is the problem???

Just thought you guys would like to see what the inside of a Honda oil filter looks like. I have an oil filter cutter from back in the day when I used to race cars. I always cut open the filters to see if something was starting to go wrong. Anyway I'm very impressed with the construction of the OEM filter.
