On 1 August 2017, the Ferret has generously trawled through all the threads and collated the various issues. Forum member CurlyJoe then created a spreadsheet with the information. This spreadsheet can be updated or added to by members.

Curious because whenever people see me and ask about the bike, it's typically followed by "I didn't know they (Honda) even made a bike like that."

Even some other CB owners I've spoken with say they only discovered the bike via their own proactive research and didn't even realize it existed before stumbling across it. Obviously many bike enthusiasts here would have known about it because they likely read or subscribe to publications that did reviews and covered its release but I'm just wondering.

Honda has really done itself and the resale market for owners no good with their seeming complete neglect with marketing and other campaigns to raise its profile.

I went back and dug out the instructions posted some time ago by Nortoon where I can post directly from my PC.
I did that, but my pictures are too big, sigh!

Have you considered passing the hat around, so to speak, for the $400/year for PhotoBucket, so that your photo links work again? I'm sure you could get 20 of us to chip in $20 apiece.

Or, if you have no confidence in PhotoBucket surviving, then moving your photos somewhere else? I know that'd be a lot of work moving them, but I'd be willing to help.

My "Better Half" says I am anal retentive when it comes to my machines and other projects, so I initially hesitated to post my little Mod here. But bolstered by the creativity of others here, decided what the heck, why not. I recently installed SW-Motech case save bars on my bike, and they included black plastic nut/bolt head domed covers. I liked the clean unobtrusive look and initially wanted spares, but could not find them. Then I found them on EBay, listed as "Black Domed Plastic Nut / Bolt Cover Caps", out of China. The material is actually more like a black nylon. It was about $2.50 U.S. for each pack of 10, of each size that was needed, including shipping! They are also available out of the UK on EBay, but more expensive, particularly the shipping. The engine bolts/nuts use "spanner" sizes 17 and 14mm, and are the two sizes needed. I have included before and after pictures of the right side, rear engine hanger bolt/nut heads, plus there is one rear 17mm hanger bolt head on the left side that I capped but did not photograph. They press straight on tightly. To remove grip with a piece of rubber and pull straight off. A very inexpensive, easy, and clean Mod I think. Enjoy.

Usually I prefer to ride away from towns, mountains are my preferred landscapes, and there are plenty around home. But last Sunday I had to go to Lyon. 2nd largest town in France, it's about one hour travel by the highway, but instead I took 3 hours riding through small roads and villages, and a large detour to the north of the town -where there are some (very) low mountains, "Les Monts d'Or".

Gone early in the morning with a mix of blue sky and white clouds, we also met darker clouds and had to wait for some thunderstorms to pass by… Then taking a few photographs!




Mural paintings are common in this area, this one is dedicated to some historical local peoples. Among them, Voisin brothers, early airplanes and motorcars manufacturers:


Atop of Mont Thou (600 m high) we can see Lyon city, washed by the rain - only a few water drops for us!



Later we were in the city, ground drying fast with the summer heat:



There is a kind of Eiffel tower in Lyon: much smaller than the one in Paris… Similar technology, built 3 years after the Paris one, but not by Eiffel - and only 86 m high

I bought my 2013 in April of this year with 2000 miles on it and in showroom condition. Today I went for a ride and when I got home I dropped the sidestand which of course killed the engine. I then proceeded to go into the house forgetting to turn the key off. I discovered this maybe 10 minutes later at the most. I turned off the key and then back on and tried to start the bike. It was deader than a door nail. I will be doing a load test on it later but am also realizing that although the bike was like new it was also 4 years old so that may be the reason. I bump started the bike and after running for 15 minutes I shut it off and it started again just fine. Probably time for a new battery. I think.

Long story short: I bought my 13 (cb1100) from a kid who was down and out and needed the cash, I paid retail for it, I have added things rear rack crash bars windshield etc, and I like the ride and power but it's like driving a enduro compared to my cb900c., in the deal i felt so bad that i gave him my 1982 cb900c. I tracked him down and he still has the bike, he stripped it down and kept all the parts, He wants $1000.00 for it which is a fair price but now that i want my old bike back that i gave away it's gonna cost me 1k. I don't know what to do.
