I was going to hijack mechanics thread about highway foot pegs but figured this deserved it's own discussion.
I've been looking at frame sliders because I want some protection but don't want to spoil the looks and I came across these Sato sliders. My question is does anyone have any experience with them and also it kind of looks like they could double as foot pegs, am I wrong?

Last Thursday was a public holiday in Germany. We took the chance, to meet for 4 days, Thursday to Sunday, at a nice place for riding in eastern Germany, at the Thuringian Forest.
It's a little like the Black Forest, but overall not so high. However there is low traffic, many small winding roads, nice landscape and good food.
Here are some pictures, which I would like to share with you. Also I tried The Ferret Way to take pictures underway. Enjoy.

Rode 160 miles today, to nowhere in particular. This bike is so easy to ride that you’ve gone 100 miles before you even know it. Left out of Clover this morning and headed north up to Lake Norman and rode all around that area, great ride.

Spotted one in Mt Holly last weekend on 5/6 at the intersection of 273 and business 16. Anybody in here? You’re the reason I now own one. I was so intrigued by your bike that I went straight home and researched it. Bought a brand new one this past Friday morning!

So I just bought a new 2014 model, its the black one. Which model do I have? Std or EX? Or is the EX and the Std one and the same? Im aware of the deluxe model differences, but I’m confused about the EX and Std.
Also, it appears this bike has ABS on the rear wheel only, is that correct?

Very interesting selections of bikes up for sale, as seen on Craigslist and reported on Jalopnik.
Go to Jalopnik for the article and discussion, and follow the link to the Craigslist ad itself.

So, it has come to pass. 5 years of CB ownership has ended. Will miss the CB, it was a prominent part of my fleet, but with only so much garage and time, I’m rationalizing a bit. With ‘rational’ being a relative term. And a temporary affliction.
The good news is that her new owner, K98shooter, is already a member, is here in NJ, and picked the bike up today for what I hope is a long, happy relationship. He’s a nice and knowledgeable dude, and will no doubt be a good addition to this thing of ours.
I’ll stay on board here, as this is a wonderful group of folks. And the way I roll, don’t be surprised if I re- enter the fold one day with a future iteration of the CB.
Here she is with her new keeper: ![[Image: 89529d8ddfe4190ff46e423441bbfeef.jpg]](https://cb1100forum.net/forum/uploads/imp/201805/89529d8ddfe4190ff46e423441bbfeef.jpg)

Rode down to Natchez MS today to meet up with a friend from high school in NC to tour some of the Civil War era plantations tomorrow.
Sunset was gorgeous, while taking photos of the sunset a couple pulled into the parking lot on a BMW GS.
Didn’t notice their plate till after thy were already in the lobby.
Veracruz Mexico is over 1200 miles from Natchez
