I did that thing where I leave my bike "On" because I was going to come right back outside and ride it somewhere but then got distracted.
It's dead. I've had it on a charger for a couple hours, and it's still less than 25%. Can anyone tell me how long it should it take a battery in a 14 standard CB to charge if on a 0.8A charger?

no not the cb silly I sold the vfr1200x really really great bike but never used it for what it was I wanted a little runaround bike and didn't feel like I needed three bikes
real close to another fz07 till I saw that my dealer had some triumph price drops so I took a ride . you can guess how that went

Okay this question has no real-world relevance to any bike I own or have owned, but is just out of curiosity. I've been watching old youtube videos on motors and alternators (I had hand surgery and won't be able to ride for three weeks and have to do something!), and am almost more confused than before I started. Anyway, how does the CB1100 alternator work?

Does it use a field coil in the stator? And what the heck is the purpose of a field coil, anyway? Does it have permanent magnets in the rotor or electro magnets? I know that older Hondas, at least, had a sort of slip ring arrangement on the end of the rotor to feed electricity into the coils on the rotor but what was the source of the electricity that flowed into the rotor? Was it AC or DC?

Hey fellow enthusiasts , purchased a 17’ cb1100 in March of this year, first fuel injected bike coming from a carbureted 02’ c50. I’ve noticed with the Honda that there seems to be a slight delay on throttle input after gear changes, resulting in “not so smooth” acceleration. I adjusted throttle free play to the tighter side because initially the throttle free play was a bit loose from the dealer but that didn’t solve my issue. Is this delay in throttle input a common characteristic of this bike?

Wouldn't you know it...I haven't ridden much lately, but the day I get cabin fever and want to go for a ride I find that the battery is dead. Every place is closed today thanks to a storm that hasn't even come close yet. Guess I could swap out the VFR battery with the CB. Might work.

Hello all,
I ordered a Kijima turn signal relocation bracket from Japan through Ebay on August 10. According to the tracking number it arrived at the transfer location in NYC on August 27. So far no further progress. Is this normal out of Japan or has my bracket joined the Ark in that warehouse shown at the end of Raiders of the Ark movie? It was slated for delivery on or about Sept 6. I have put a lost mail report through the post office so we’ll see. Thanks.
