Starting to look for a replacement for my trusty Shoei Neotec. Nothing wrong with the Neotec, it fits me great. Logic dictates that replacement should be a Neotec II, but...

- Neotec II is a little heavier.
- Neotec II requires proprietary BT comms
- I really want a modular WITHOUT sun visor.

I wear Rx sunglasses during the day, including riding. I never use the retractable sun visor. I know the easy solution is "well, just don't use it", but if I can minimize weight and hidden compartments in the helmet to reduce noise (those constant little background whistles), I'm all for it.

All that writing just to ask you, salty riders, if any of you have had experience with Klim products, especially their helmets?

I just recently discovered that you can buy replacement liners for you helmet ... what a concept Anyway, got one from CycleGear for my 2 year old Scorpion R710 and installed last night. OMG .. what difference. The old padding was very worn and had really compressed. For under $40 bucks ... can't beat it.

In the wake of Motus’s demise, I saw this comment in reaction to the Revzilla story about the end of Motus:

“Have Honda build a CB750 styled like its CB1100, give it a fuel injected inline 4 with about 90 horsepower and sell it for between $7500 and $8500. Keep weight to no more than 450 lbs and make it devoid of electronic gadgetry.”

Obviously it would have to be liquid cooled, but other than that compromise...reaction?

My riding season is from May to October. But in May I only had time for 2 rides. We sold our house and had to pack and move everything into 2 1/2 months of storage until our new house was available. Fortunately Penny's sister took us in.

June was a beautiful month as usual here, and I managed to escape for 4 rides while the girls were at work.

But this summer has been terribly hot and muggy. As I am unwilling to ride in a T-shirt and shorts, the bike has just sat in the garage.

Mid-August we took possession of our new house, and began moving everything back in. Not finished yet, but livable.

Still dealing with the utility companies. The cell phone droid generations are the dumbest things I have ever had to deal with for business. They use to tell us not to trust anyone over 50. Now you can't trust anyone under 50 to get it right. Despite several phone calls, e-mails, and visits to their website our cable company still refers to me as Penny.

Mid August is usually the cooling off period for summer here. But the heat and humidity persist. Tomorrow will reach 90F but feel like 109F with a 40% chance of strong thunderstorms.

Ordinarily I ride 11,000 to 12,000 kilometers a season. But to date have only managed 2765. I sure hope we have a long and warm fall so I can get those new Bridgestone tires broken in.

You all are much more expert regarding motorcycling than I am, so maybe this is all old hat for you. For me, though, the following contains several great tips about deer that I think I will try to employ.

New and proud CB owner. I bought a used 2014 Honda CB1100 (Std) with about 8k miles. It had a few modifications/accessories from the previous owner, one of which was a change out of handlebars to a flatter profile and bar risers added. It looks good, but after having put a few hundred miles on, I'm really disturbed by how much vibration is being transferred through the bars. I installed new thicker grips (Oury) and added some fairly lightweight bar end weights, but it didn't really help. Does everybody's CB transmit vibration through the bars, or is it just this set up I have? I think I want to go back to stock configuration, but I wanted a little advice from everyone out there. Thanks for any input.

Hi Everyone! Has anyone been able to successfully install [url=https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rizoma-eccentrico-bar-end-mirror]rizoma bar-end mirrors with the stock CB1100 bar ends?

I'm trying to keep the stock bar ends bc of dampening properties. The rizoma can be installed without an adapter if there is 12mm of exposed handlebar end.

At this moment he has done 9.500 Km off which i drove 5000 km myself.I noticed that when i let the handlebars go they start to shake after a few seconds.Looking at the tires seems that the different surfaces aren't equal worn out. When you stroke the surface with your hands in doesn't feel even.Is this a known fact and is it dangerous ?(Cuppen)Difficult to take a picture of this but i tried anyway.
