Hi all, getting to know my new (to me) 2013. One thing I do with all of my bikes is mount small LED spotlights to give myself more visibility to traffic. Looking at the bike, I'm not seeing some obvious mounting locations, and am wondering what other people have done.

So again I am new to the forum and riding a 2013. As I mentioned in my intro post I’ve been riding Sportsters and Dynas for a long while. They obviously have sweet zone for cruising with torque in reserve (2750-3000) as well as a spot where they are no longer pulling but just revving (4500-5000). Good old Vtwin. Now for the CB. I’ll find the sweet zone for cruising but where can I wind it out to without taxing the engine excessively.

No luck searching, anyone with the rear shock bolt torque specs? Thanks !

I was out for a short ride not too long ago,I’m sitting at a light and I hear this rumble and it gets louder and louder,could be a Harley? The guy starts threading his way through the stopped cars and the light turns green,I go and can hear the guy getting on it so I go,never once did I see the thing until it was time to stop the -spirited ride- and slow down somewhat. The thing based me and it was a flat 6 Honda something,1700+ CCs but didn’t touch a CB1100.

Man I LOVE this thing! One of the things I like about it the most,nobody knows what it is.

First winter with the bike - Installed Dart Marlin Screen, Type II bars (can be purchased from Honda dealers in US), RS black grab rail (also from US Dealer), and Longride Patriot Saddlebag with turn signal relo. Loving how it's turned out!

Anybody use OEM Honda top box? Will it fit on Givi rack. How does it mount? I'm thinking I like it. Currently have Givi rear rack mounted.

Although I have been out a number of times this year, Saturday was the first great ride of the season for me here in Central Ohio. The weather was a perfect 60-something degrees, and light thermal underwear under my Aerostich kept me super comfortable. I understand that the CB is not a sport bike, and is both heavy and slow (relatively) compared to most 1150 cc bikes, but I would not have traded it for anything else Saturday. The Showa dual bending valve forks on the 2017 work superbly--they really feel as good as the Ohlins on my Ducati. And the old fashioned pre-load adjustable only rear shocks also do a surprisingly good job at soaking up bumps and road undulations, while the keeping the bike rock steady when ridden at a brisk but very sane pace. The bike really pulls with a surprising amount of torque from under 3000 rpm, but ridden consistently above 5500 rpm provides lots of power that allows this big, heavy bike to keep up all the speed I can use on the road. The narrow tire profiles allow the bike to turn easily, with no real effort required. Stopping by the huge Iron Pony super store on the way home to bask in the glow of new machines from something like 17 manufacturers always results in people stopping to check out the CB when it is parked out front. I still can barely take my eyes off it when it is parked.

I just bought a power commander for the 2017 cb1100ex model but came with no o2 optimizers, does anyone know if they are required? Thanks in advance
