I’ve been searching for a definitive usable fuel range for my ‘13. So far, the warning comes on at about 130 miles. Three gallons fills it, which means I should still have something close to the .9 gallon reserve left. Is 150 realistic before I’m in trouble? That would be about the same as my Bonnie. Thanks

My Monday through Friday commute is ten miles. On the weekends, I'm a tour guide at the Petersen Museum in L.A., which is about 50 miles from home. I took the CB yesterday for the first time, and was pleased with the comfort over a longer ride.
Here she is on the roof of the parking garage.

Had some friends over for a workshop back in January. One of the guys brought the movie “The Fastest Indian”. Burt Munro was played by Anthony Hopkins. I was intrigued & inspired...
Since then I purchased the movie, got a rule book and have semi-seriously thought of entering a bike in one of the 175cc classes.
As you might expect; there’s quite a bit that needs to happen.
Weigh to HP combined with potentially a “partial slipstreaming” is the ticket. I can build the motor & bike, but there’s no way I could weigh 120lbs or less.
Not looking for volunteer drivers at this time, just pondering the scope of this venture and whether it’s something I wish to peruse.
Has anyone been to Bonneville or El Mirage and entered a bike?
Curious to get your thoughts.

Got one coming within 100 miles of me (Bowling Green, KY) and wondering if anyone has had any experience with it.
Did you use your own bike or theirs?
What level did you start at?
Did you use their gear or yours?
Did anyone crash at the training?
What did they teach you?
Trail Braking?

Afternoon to all. I’m hoping to get some feedback on the Puig products. I ordered a Naked New Generation and it arrived yesterday. Appearance is great but as soon as I picked it up I was concerned at how flimsy it seemed. It doesn’t seem very durable and plastic surface feels soft (not very scratch resistant) as opposed to windscreens I’ve had in the past. Even the support brackets are plastic. I don’t really want to install it bc I obviously won’t be able to return it but anyone here who runs one of these want to chime in on their experience with the Puig?

| What to do with an old helmet? |

When I got reversed into and got to kiss the tarmac, my helmet got scratched sufficiently (the hit was a glancing blow behind the right ear) for the insurance company to payout for a new one.
So I presume I now throw/recycle the old one away or is there another accepted use for dead helmets?
