Pic at work - Gone in 60 - 05-13-2019
My Monday through Friday commute is ten miles. On the weekends, I'm a tour guide at the Petersen Museum in L.A., which is about 50 miles from home. I took the CB yesterday for the first time, and was pleased with the comfort over a longer ride.
Here she is on the roof of the parking garage.

Thanks! There are a few places on the roof where pictures of the museum vehicles are usually shot. Blank white wall, landscape background, this is a more "industrial" looking zone.
BTW, fun fact, if you're in mid-town LA and looking for a safe place to park, the Petersen parking lot is motorcycle friendly and secure.

Hi,
Last year, while working for Toyota Canada, my department was the recipient of the "MIRAI" Hydrogen Fuel Cell car from the Petersen Museum.
Were you involved in the move?
We put it to good use and had it apart for technician training in Canada.

That’s cool that you guys got it. Most “new” cars we get are pre production models, so they can’t be sold. Nice to know that one didn’t go to the crusher. I think a Honda Clarity is in its spot now after it was used for a bunch of promotion when the new model was launched. We have a pretty good alternative power display including hybrids and electrics going back to the early 1900s. We’re also featuring an electric motorcycle exhibit right now. First time I have seen the new Harley Livewire.
As a guide, I just talk, I don’t get to do much of anything else.

It certainly is. I will never afford any of the cars in the collection, but I can help share them with like minded enthusiasts. And I love meeting people from around the world who love cars and motorcycles. After a tour, there’s always someone with their phone out, eager to show me what they have back home.
