I believe I've read on this forum that the saddle from a Deluxe model will fit my 2014 Black Standard bike. If so:
1. is the saddle shaped differently than the standard one, so that it offers more support under riders' thighs? Even though the saddle on my bike looks 'level' when viewed in profile, I always feel like I'm leaning forward.
I know this is subjective, but have any here swapped the std for the dx saddle?

overall, for ""me"" is the dlx much more comfortable....at the time when I was doing a test drive with a standard was this my impression (or for me here its just the 2013 model smile)....by the dlx i sat only on it before the purchase....material,look / shape is really different
leaning forward ? well i can't remember about a different in this matter......its to long ago to say something about it

As an owner of a DLX, I have no complaints about the seat but it is relatively narrow and doesn't offer significant thigh support. Compared to the seat on the Std? It's probably about the same, give or take.

I had a 2014 with a deluxe seat on it. Also had a 2013 with the standard seat. Yes, the deluxe seat is more comfortable and worth it for that and the looks.

I think the standard versus deluxe saddle is a Forum top five topic (or sumthin' like that).

I've found the standard seat on the '13 a little thin and narrow. I used to have s Sportster that had an uncomfy seat, and I had a local auto upholstery guy add foam to it. Good improvement, and thinking of taking my Honda seat to him, too.

I 'think' I may go with the Corbin Gunfighter (solo version.) I ran the same Corbin on my 2000 Kawasaki W650 for nearly 50,000 miles over 7 years, and it worked really well for me.
Thanks for all of your responses to my question.

I swapped in the deluxe seat on both of my 13’s and it is more comfy, seems to have a slightly higher seating position and it looks better in my opinion.

I just posted this in the modifications section. I put a Deluxe seat on my Standard, the seat will work but to look right all the hardware, brackets also need to be installed.
