So I've been shopping, pretty sure I found my bike and setting up things to go pick it up in few days. It a 2013 CB1100 in great condition. Thank you to all your posts gang, it REALLY helped me in research and selecting my bike.

I also found a 1983 CB1100f, but have yet to go see it, its not being advertised anywhere. I've sorted through the posts and still would appreciate opinions as to how much the value is. Searching online also but still can't quite nail down good figures.

Lets just assume its in fair condition so we don't get sidetracked into all the discussions about 'what if its this and that'. I've completely gone through barn-finds before so know what I may be in for, running or not. One site had a 1983 in excellent condition going for $7000.

So say its been stored, has to be gone through but otherwise good shape, whats it worth?

Hi all,
3 days back i left my bike park outside in the rain. After the rain stop i rode the bike to fill up some gas and took her for a short 10km ride to dry up. Once home its been parked under roof. Today when i try to fire her up, she give me crank but just wouldn't start. I place my hand over the exhaust and can feel the air pulse. When key turn to on, have the usual fuel pump priming. Could it be bad gasoline or injector clot due to rain water?

Today was the 4th time I've emailed Spencer for seat mods at gratedaytoride.com since Dec 16. I called and left a voicemail today also. It appears he's still in business. His site is up, his phone refers to seat mods, but he sure ain't following up with me. Either my emails are going to spam, or just being ignored.

1. Have any of you used him lately?

2. Do you know of another trusted seat fabricator?

3. What's the consensus on the most comfortable aftermarket seat for black 14 standard?

Like many on this forum, I've struggled with comfort on the CB (for reference, I'm 5'10'', ~160lbs). My biggest gripe was that I always felt like I was subtly sliding forward into the gas tank, hence I found myself constantly re-adjusting. Being said, I decided to upgrade the seat to the Daytona Cozy. I've had the seat for about 8 months so I figured it might be helpful to potential buyers to hear about my experience so far.

Things I like:

- The seat looks much better compared to the stock seat. It's more retro and, in my opinion, fits the overall aesthetic of the bike much better.
- It's wider than the stock seat, which does equate to a more comfortable ride.

My complaints:

While I do think it's more comfortable than stock, the seat has not been the panacea I was hoping it would be. During the initial phase of the ride, I find the seat to be perfectly suitable and comfortable. However, as soon as I shift on the seat, I lose my initial indentation and find myself, once again, sliding into the gas tank.

My guess is that when I first get on the bike, I quickly create a subtle indentation/grove into the foam, which is all good and fine. The trouble is that as soon I leave that groove, the foam is perhaps trying to readjust to my new position, which incidentally makes me want to readjust due to discomfort. I should also note that I did install Genmar 1.5'' risers. My guess is that my feeling of sliding into the gas tank would be amplified without these.

Another observation I've had is that due to the wider seat, my feet tend to hang out further from the bike, hence I've missed the peg/shifter a couple of times with my toes! At times, I have had to consciously pull my feet closer to the bike, which is something I never really thought about on other bikes, or with the stock seat.

Despite these complaints, I do think I would purchase the seat again. While I am very curious about how K&H seats compare, I just couldn't justify the high price at the time I purchased the Cozy.

Has anyone had a Yoshimura (or other brand) full ceramic exhaust system fitted 12 or more months ago?
How is the ceramic coating lasting?

I can’t stretch to the budget of the Yoshimura system but as I like the ceramic look I am thinking of perhaps getting the original exhaust system ceramic coated. Most places here in the UK will guarantee the work for 2-3 years.

I’ve had a quote from a reputable specialist at £244 + tax which seems decent enough to me.
