Modern tank with retro paint. Great looking 750 side covers, even an oil cap. Thumbs Up

Wondering if someone could help me out here? I just purchased a new 2017 CB1100EX. I've been looking for days and not sure where to find these. I'm looking for probably Euro market side covers for my US model. I found some on Webike, but noticed they were lightly different and didn't have the recessed CB1100 logo on them.

Also does anyone know if the paint color is the same hue from my model to the ones on this older model?

Wanting these side covers

I have a family vacation scheduled the last weekend in March. I am searching for any local riders that can help me plan some 100 mile loops for a fair weather Florida rider.

My GS is at the dealers for some warranty work and the loaner is an S1000XR (outgoing model).

The bike is a bit of an animal and it certainly exposes my inner hooligan. I found myself wanting to change up out of 6th all the time, but the explosive acceleration (and noise) is somewhat addictive!

Overall though, my choice of 4 cylinder motorcycle would be the calmer, relaxed and far more attractive CB. Wink

Hi, CB'ers!

As you know, I traded my '14 Black CB1100 on a '16 T120. So far, due to weather, the Triumph has had no more than 10-15 miles put on the odometer. Lotta chrome and alloy on the wheels and engine cases that wouldn't hold up well what with all our road salt. We had some rain that got rid of most of it, so ...........

I 'wished' away the snow and cold. Must have worked for one day (only.) About a week ago, we had a lovely 55-60 degree day with lots of sun, our monthly allotment for NE Ohio in February. My 29 year old Beemer R100GS had been on Battery Tender for a few days, and was ready for a ride. I live within 10 minutes of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, so I jumped into some thermals and went out for 60-70 mile ride, often riding the same roads more than once. So nice, and the old Beemer was running beautifully.

Hope everything is going well for all of you, with the knowledge that even here in the Midwest, we can anticipate the upcoming riding season.

My best to all,

Bob

  CB1100 scarcity

As some may know, the wife and I are moving to TX later this year to be closer to our son and his family. I was going to trailer my two bikes back there on a one-way rented U-Haul, towed behind the wife's vehicle, a Honda CR-V, which is already set up for it. Knowing she would not want to drive/tow the trailer, I was going to drive, and she will drive my car, a Honda Accord Coupe. It's a two-day haul to Ft.Worth, with an overnight stop in El Paso. Then, I got to thinking, why transport two bikes back there? I thought I'd just sell both bikes here in SoCal and eliminate the hassles of transporting two relatively common bikes to TX. Living in SoCal has its advantages; there are more cars, bikes, airplanes and boats for sale here than in any other major metropolis in the US. When I sold my sailboat five years ago, I was getting emails from Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii. Surely, I could replace the Honda in TX, right? Just for sh!ts and giggles, I went on craigslist Dallas and searched for a Honda CB1100. NOT ONE! There were a few BMWs, but not one Honda CB1100. I searched the whole state, not one. Now I'm thinking I will transport the Honda halfway across the country, especially since I have it pretty much setup like I want it.

I just purchased a 2014 CB1100 Deluxe. I want to add a windshield to my bike. Does anybody have any suggestions or advice on what kind to buy. I do not want a large windshield but I want it to work well on the freeways of Southern California to keep the wind off my upper body. Thanks for the help.[/font]

Well, It's mid February, three feet of snow on the ground and riding season will not start for another two months, but I uncovered my bike, pointed the exhaust out the garage door and fired it up. I'm feeling it all over...….
