Well, here I am day 5 of having my first covid infection and wondering how bad this will get.
So far it's been like a mild cold but today the feeling of fatigue is starting to get worse and a cough is developing.
According to guidelines only 5 days isolation is now needed so I could be out on the bike tomorrow but no way do I feel like I could ride safely atm.
Maybe things will be easier tomorrow and the fresh air and a short ride would be good, I will see how I feel.

I'm currently enjoying watching this guy from Berlin who speaks fluent English riding his bike around the world an a second hand electric Zero motorcycle.
He starts his first overseas leg in the UK & Ireland and has been very enjoyable so far.
The fact that he is riding a second hand Zero with a possible worn out battery and oil leaking motor is adding to the drama..
I loved the irony of being banned off an electric charging car park just because it wasn't a car... seriously you couldn't make it up!!

With all of our talk about Facebook...
I don't use it to broadcast what I had for lunch or to tell everyone I know how my doctors appointments go, but I do look at Marketplace, since it's replacing Craig's and OfferUp as an online clearing house of interesting things.
Like this... don't see how it is road legal in the U.S., and it probably wouldn't be in California under any circumstances. But man do I want it!
I met up with a guy at a local biker spot a few years ago with one. He put a plate from another bike on it, and just banked on not being pulled over.

I was looking at a map of Canada yesterday, checking out possible "new-to-me" motorcycle rides in the upcoming years. I'm left coast so it's natural for me to look straight north. This summer I finally had my first entry into Canada and got to explore BC a little bit.
As I started to "head east" on my map, flipping throuh the pages, the last section was labeled "The Maritimes". What!? Apologies to the Canadians here, but I don't remember ever hearing / reading anything about "The Maritimes"...and I'm generally pretty good with names of countries, regions, etc. Didn't have my reading glasses on, so I couldn't make out the smaller labels on the map. Had to google it and found more familiar names make up the area (N.Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PE Island). I was relieved because I'm familiar with these names, though still quite ignorant on "what's there / what's it like).
I have a sister who recently set up her retirement yeas and now lives in Cape Cod. One day, I'd like to visit her on the bike as I want to do a long East Coast trip before my expiration date comes up. And now I see "The Maritimes" isn't really all that far away.
So...what's it like? I can do the net searches, but would enjoy hearing from those who live there / have ridden bikes there. Care to share any personal info / photos / places to visit / routes to consider?

| CB1100 specific wear parts |

I am assuming (please correct me if I am wrong) that all the frequent wear parts, such as
- oil filter,
- pads and brake disks,
- calipers,
- air cleaner / filter,
- battery
are parts one can find in other (Honda) motorcycles, with identical part numbers. In other words, even with the CB1100 slowly going out of business, these parts will always be available.
I do see only one exception to this rule, the spark plugs. There are similar ones on the market, but if one wanted to play it safe and run a CB1100 for many years, you'd better get a few sets - SC65 and SC78 alike.
Any comments ?
