What would it take to install the ABS system from the deluxe model and put it on the Standard model?
I imagine the computer would have to be changed or reflashed with the Deluxe firmware but, what else?

Today, in full post-rally depression, I went and looked longingly at Last Blast. I won't ride it until I do some work. Have to do a major service, change the chain and sprockets, and replace the rear tyre. Sprockets are proving to be a problem. OEM from the local dealer were quoted at, in total, AUD205. So the answer to that is an aftermarket. I have been looking at JT sprockets. They (JT) don't have 2010 CB in their catalogue, but do have sprockets for '13 onwards. I surmise that '13 sprockets will suit the '10 model. A set of JT sprockets will cost AUD 90. So my plan is to rip the old sprockets off and measure them up against the diagrams provided by JT. If it looks good I will buy.
The JT part numbers I have are:
JTF 339-18
JTR 302-39
Any advice would be welcome. Both as to the sprocket choice and the work to be done. The work should be straightforward but I'm always willing to learn. I will probably change the chain slider while I'm at it. I did the brake pads recently so all OK there.
Cheers.

The other day I exited the Hamilton-bound freeway to avoid a rush "hour" traffic backup and was stopped at a red light. A gorgeous 1983 Honda V65 Magna pulled up next to me. The ride was in excellent condition - not showroom, but well taken care and pretty well in stock-looking condition. I complimented the owner and he proudly acknowledged. He commented on my ride as he stared at the left side of my 2014 CB1100 and said it was in great condition, "... that has got to be, what?, 'bout 35 years-old?". I realized at that moment Honda did a great job. I can't think of a better compliment than that.

I was in an accident and my 2013 CB1100 is totalled. (Insert cursing here)
I came out relatively ok, sprained wrist and sore-as-heck body.
Happened on a divided highway in heavy traffic. Semi up ahead stalled, SUV in front of me almost hit car in front of them, I skid 20 or 30 feet into the back of the SUV, which was at a dead stop. There was a car pulled off into the shoulder to the left and traffic to the right, so I took it straight on.
The whole front end is wrecked, almost no damage from headers and back. The tank is dented, maybe from my leg... Insurance is totalling it. I'll get about $6500 back.
I decided on the CB1100 instantly when it came to the USA. I love the retro styling, design quality, smooth engine, everything.
The only desires it doesn't totally fulfil are long distance comfort and accessories, and off road capabilities.
I'm interested in adventure bikes, but the cost is high ,and let's be honest I'll be on the road 90% of the time.
I'm looking into a new CB1100, new yamah FJ-09, or used triumph tiger.
Im not a fan of the CB1100 DLX look, prefer sportier 2013 or black 2014.
FJ-09 isn't as beautiful, but is a very fun, light, powerful sport touring machine. Tiger would have offroad capability.
It's all about the ride, and I think FJ-09 wins there. I'm a visual designer by trade (architecture) so the CB1100 pulls more on those strings. Feeling conflicted.

I just noticed that Redbirds has "Road Warrior" status and Cormanus has "Been There" status. Never seen that before. Are they new ?
I think Ferret should be "Cat Herder" instead of just moderator
