I
have just installed a Staintune muffler. Really nice visually and sounds great.I have a flat spot around 2500 revs. I have been told that that is common with big capacity four cyl engines as that is where emission levels are taken and they map them lean. I am thinking of installing a power commander to remedy this. I must add that you could probably live with the problem but correcting it would greatly enhance the ride.

i noticed in some pics today that there's a speedo that reads up to 140, unlike the DLX which only goes to 120. I'm thinking it's on '13's.
Anyone who has one and doesn't care about going over 120 interested in a trade?

Finally got it! Getting it installed was a little more than 10 minutes but, it is on now and seems to be installed correctly.

It turns out that I've been doing a bit of lurking here on the forum. Reading with interest the posts of others who have installed an O2 sensor eliminator. The reason for this? My CB1100 had been exhibiting fairly poor fueling characteristics at levels below approximately 3000 RPM. Each ride would end the same way: with me cruising down the street all herky jerky 'til I pulled into the driveway and shut it down. Now to be fair, while this feels like a big deal to me when I'm on the bike, I have no idea whether or not someone watching me pass by would notice this at all (or whether or not they could hear the throttle hunting in my exhaust for that matter).

At any rate, I recently went ahead and ordered an O2 sensor eliminator. Got it installed in just a few minutes. Took the bike for a quick spin around the neighborhood, just putting along nice and slow. It was like night and day. The fueling was incredibly smooth. Next I'll need to get the bike nice and warmed up and see if that makes a difference. I'm hoping that the fueling will remain smooth and steady. That's all I'm really interested in. I'm not concerned about performance gains. I'm hoping that I don't see a decrease in gas mileage.

But my question is this: why the need for this small contraption? It would seem that most here are happy with the fueling on their CBs, some reporting that it's close to perfect. Some report otherwise, a few of which have turned to solutions like the eliminator unit. Could this indicate that some of us have had O2 sensors go bad (or seriously fouled)? I'd be curious to see how my bike would respone to a replacement sensor. However that would be a far more involved not to mention a much more expensive test than just installing an eliminator plug. I guess you could say that my curiosity has only been partially satisfied.

What think ye knowledgeable forum members?

I just wanted to say thanks to Mr. T. Last Sunday evening I sent a Paypal off to Samurider for a Honda Luggage Rack for my 14 Deluxe and I got it this past Saturday. Wow that is fast. The luggage Rack doesn't look real easy to install but we will see how it goes. Thanks again

It seems every motorcycle forum I'm on, no matter how diverse, I keep hearing from other members that also have either a Triumph Bonneville, or a 650 V-Strom. Since I already own a Bonnie, I thought I'd check out the Suzuki...
Went and sat on one at the dealership yesterday, and I have to say, I was pretty surprised at how comfortable it was. I could use a little more legroom, but that's my problem on most bikes anyway, and from what I understand, they have a higher seat option available, too. And they had some nice discounts on a couple of 2014 models that were hard to beat.
I've just started doing a little research on them, and it sounds like they're pretty much bullet-proof, although not exactly a hardcore off-roader (although no less than a Triumph Scrambler, no doubt).
So, anyone here have one that they can offer any details or opinions about? I'm just kind of toying with the idea at this point, but I am pretty interested.

Interested in your thoughts, I'm planning to ride to Wilson's Promontory its about a 270 mile round trip if i take the direct route but I'm not sure at this stage how I will go.

Motorcycle boots made in Adelaide South Australia by Rossi Boots. On the company web site a bloke that rode from Singapore to London gave them a good wrap.

However I have never bought Motorcycle boots from them.

I ride in my work boots, they are well made.

I feel I always get more than my moneys worth out of them.
